Origins of Islam

Origins of Islam
While Muslims consider Islam a religion of Allah (their version of true God), its critics consider it a plagiarized religion which is a blend of Abrahamic and Pagan religion of Arabia.
Muslims say that Allah sent Prophet Muhammad as the final messenger of Allah and revealed Quran on him.
Let us examine both the relation of Islam with Abrahamic religions and Pagan religion of Arabia.
First, lets discuss relation of Islam with other Abrahamic religions and suspicion of it being a plagiarized religion. Islam endorses all the Abrahamic prophets but asserts that once Quran has been revealed on Muhammad, now it supercedes other Abrahamic religions. If we study Quran, it can be noticed that its substantial portion is related to stories of Abrahamic Prophets. On one hand it supports the idea that Islam endorses Abrahamic Prophets but on the other hand it has led to questions such as Islam being a plagiarized version of Abrahamic religions. Someone can easily object that it is not anything new but an extension of previous Abrahamic religions. Quran has some interesting errors which its defenders have not fully succeeded to explain. For example, Quran mistakenly says that Mary (the mother of Jesus) is a sister of Aaron. Aaron was a prophet who existed long before Jesus. This type of mistakes raises doubt that its plagiarized with genuine mistakes because if it was revealed by a true God, such blatant mistakes wouldn't be possible. It has also been observed by many that a Christian priest named Waraka Ibn Nawfal was the mastermind behind all those biblical stories in Quran. This priest incidently happens to be a cousin of Muhammad's wife Khadija. Furthermore, there was a long pause in revelations once this priest died. All these stories certainly make a case that Quran may be a plagiarized book With connection to previous Abrahamic books.
Secondly, let's have a brief look at Islam's relation with Pagan religion of Arabia. Muhammad belonged to Banu Hathim clan of Quraysh. This clan was in charge of Kaaba. Before Islam, Kaaba was the house of Pagan Gods and their idols. As Banu Hathim oversaw Kaaba and its pagan rituals, Muhammad's affiliation and knowledge regarding this religion may be of substantial degree. Moreover, Muslim supreme God Allah was a pagan moon God and not a christian God or Jewish Yahweh. Famous godesses Laat and Manaat were Allah's daughters. Controversy of Satanic verses also increases the suspicion that praise of Allah's daughter was a dent to monotheism. Incidently, Muhammad's father's name was Abdullah which means servant of Allah. Strangely Muahammad's family was so much associated with Allah of Pagans that his father was named after him and not a christian or Jewish monotheist god. This raises doubt over Allah being the Abrahamic God. Apparently it seems that it may have been posed in shape of Abrahamic god while retaining his original name.Muhammad's story of placing the holy black stone in the wall of Kaaba also reflects that he was close with Kaaba and pagan religion because this stone was precious for pagans and not Abrahamic religions. All these incidents raise a question regarding Islam having relation with Pagan religion.
Therefore, I suggest that we share ideas regarding origins of Islam keeping in view contemporary religions of those times and their relation with Islam.

This is a subject that will require a lot of time to explain, but here are some comments that I'd like to address for now, briefly:

The idea that Allah was a pagan moon god is rather a misinformation that was first invented by the Christian apologist Robert Morey, who had provably resorted to suppression of evidence, forgery, and deliberate misquotation in an attempt to prove his theory that Allah was a moon god. Not surprisingly, all of his moon god claims have been thoroughly rejected and falsified by both Islamic and Western scholars.

From Wikipedia:
Both Islamic and Western scholars have rejected these claims, some even calling them "insulting". It is argued that "Allah" is simply the word for "God" in Arabic, which ultimately derives from the same root as the Hebrew words "El" and "Elohim", both used in the Book of Genesis. In the words of Lori Peek, "Allah is simply the Arabic word meaning God. In fact people who speak Arabic, be they Christians, Jews or Muslims, often say "Allah" to describe God, just as God is called "Gott" in German and "Dieu" in French." - Full Article

Indeed, moon gods - and sun gods and many other gods - were worshipped in various cultures in the past such as by the ancient Sumerians, Mesopotamians, and even by some the Semites, for example. Pagan Arabs at one time also used to worship a moon god. There were also statues (or idols) of moon gods. However, there is no historical evidence nor any logical argument to to support the claim that "Allah" was the name of a moon god. Allah was never associated with any idols either.

The pagan Arabs used to worship many different gods along with Allah and the "daughters" of Allah. The daughters were named Lat, Uzza, and Manat. These were the "daughters" of Allah which they used to worship, which obviously means that they believed in Allah as well. And I've put the word "daughters" in quotes because Allah doesn't actually have any sons nor daughters according to Islamic belief, as the Quran states, "Say: He is God, the One and Only God, the Eternal, Absolute. He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him!" (Surah 112:1-4).

Even when the Kaaba was filled with idols before Muhammad's time, there were no representations of Allah because everyone knew that Allah cannot be represented with anything materialistic: "The Kaaba contained hundreds of sacred rocks and statues from many Arabian tribes, but no images of Allah. No special cult was associated with Allah." - Professor William E. Phipps, Muhammad and Jesus, p. 21.

RE: Origins of Islam
I appreciate your arguments. You have admitted in your kind arguments that pagans believed in Allah as well who was allegedly father of some famous goddesses. This naturally indicates that Muslim supreme God Allah has some link with Pagan religious views. Definitely I am not discarding your arguments but just indicating that relationship of Allah and pagans exists. Secondly I have a kind query that If god means Allah in Arabic then why all other Gods are not called Allah?

RE: Origins of Islam
Virtually all religions rely on some mystical/magical foundation for their beginnings.

It's a dead giveaway that they are all bullshit.

RE: Origins of Islam
In Arabic, "a god" means "Ilah", but "Allah" is emphasis it's the God, as in it was the top God, the Creator, but in Islam it was emphasized the top God of all possible gods is the only real God, because he is absolute and has no comparison.
