She is a goddamn harpy/shrew/vicious cunt, and it's obvious she emasculated him long long ago. I think if I were to suffocate him with a pillow, he would relish a quick and easy death just to get away from the bitch and he would put up no resistance. I have no idea why they never divorced . .. well, I guess I do know, she said no, and that was that.
He's handsome, if he is aware there is a better life out there for him, it would have to be even worse for him knowing it. No body likes her, everyone I know consciously and conspicuously avoids her like the plague. Except him, he's stuck with her.
Poor son of a bitch, euthanasia for him would be a blessing . . . . Sounds like a bomb ready to go off. If he's aware of her and wishes he could break away then she better watch out. The last straw is not necessarily the heaviest straw.
Remember that old song from the 70s, Thin Line Between Love and Hate? Just replace woman with man
The sweetest man in the world Could be the meanest man in the world
If you make him that way
You see him He's keeping quiet
He might be holding something inside
That'll really really hurt you one day
Here I am laid up in the hospital bandaged from feet to head
In a state of shock just that much from being dead
Didn't think a man would do something like this to me
Didn't think a boy had nerve
Here I am I guess action speaks louder than words
Don't think you can keep treating your man bad
And he won't ever be mad

I don't know him, and can only go by what you say about him, but, frankly, your neighbor sounds like a dumbass with shit for brains. Did someone point a gun at his head and make him marry her? Is someone pointing a gun at his head and keeping him from leaving her? It seems to me that not only did he choose to live as he does, but he continues to choose to live that way.
I expect someone to tell me that relationships are complex things, and try to make up excuses for someone being a total dumbfuck. However, some of us were smart enough to marry someone who is extremely nice, extremely reasonable, and very smart. (And who has a great body. ) If other people choose differently, what does that tell us about them?
None of that is to say that everyone should get married; that is not something I think would be good advice at all. But if you are going to do it, think it through and pick well. Don't make a snap decision on something that can profoundly affect the rest of your life.

Poor son of a bitch, euthanasia for him would be a blessing . . . . Is he Catholic? If yes, with enough money he can buy an annulment. My 1st did that to marry a Catholic.

I'm extremely nice until somebody tries to control me. Then I'm the biggest bitch in the kitchen. But just like I don't like anybody controlling my life, I don't try to control a man.
Extremely reasonable?
You be my judge
Extremely smart?
Ibid.
Nice body?
Yes, Lord.
The man is grown. Over 21. Since he put himself in that position then maybe that's what he needs right now. When he's strong enough and has enough respect for himself, she will be history. Calling him a shit for brains will only re-enforce the low self esteem that keeps him tied to her.
