Am I Going To Hell?

Yeah, but the thought process is not consistent.  I don't believe in A because A lacks evidence however, I am willing to believe B, it also lacks evidence.

Hey if you're comfortable with this, so be, but not consistent at all.

What kind of moron are you?  I told you what I was comfortable with in the rest of my post that you omitted when you quoted me; emphasis in bold is added:

Atheism is about one thing.  It is about whether there is a god or not.  It is not about whether there is an afterlife or not.

Now, I personally think the idea of an afterlife is moronic, but that's me.  Not all atheists agree on this.

Also, this is not due to "lack of evidence."  The evidence suggests that your thinking and feeling are brain processes (this, by the way, is why your thinking is altered when various chemicals, like alcohol, are introduced into the brain), and so when the brain is stopped, your thinking and feeling stops.  The end.  That is what is most reasonable to believe, and it isn't just the fact that there is no good evidence that there is an afterlife.  We have evidence that there is not an afterlife.  Stupid and ignorant people may be unaware of the evidence, but it is there for anyone who wishes to look at it.  At least, for anyone who has internet access.

That some people reject evidence and believe fairy tale nonsense is irrelevant to the fact that the evidence is easy to find.

Not only do you believe in fairy tales, you ignore evidence even when it is spoon fed to you.  Only stupid and/or ignorant people believe in an afterlife.

My body will be put into a casket. I will be put in the ground. My casket will rot. I will rot. Maggots will crawl around on me, feeding on my flesh. I will become bones. Maybe in a few hundred years my grave will be dug up for other dead bodies. My bones will be crushed into dust and released.

Does that seems like NOTHING!!! Does that seem like I will become NOTHING!!! Do you think that people that dug me up FORGOT about my grave and my name. You might be forgotten, but hopefully my name lives on. That is my purpose in life. To make sure I am remembered for as long as possible.

WHY IS THIS HARD TO UNDERSTAND?!

A religious person would assume that was god talking to them.  I think it's really just your inner psyche coming into harmony with your conscious beliefs.

My experience exactly, Rahul. And it isn't only that Xtians feel "right" . . . they feel superior. They're on the winning side. The big guy that created the galaxies loves them individually, and is going to make everyone who disagrees with them fry forever. There is a line in a popular hymn "I, who made the Moon and Stars, now kneel to wash your feet": I think that's Xtianity in a nutshell.  That feeling of "I'M IMPORTANT, I'M RIGHT, EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES WITH ME JUST GO TO HELL. I'LL GET TO WATCH."

Many Xtians can not let go of that - their entire psyche and worldview is built upon it.

Hey, I took part of your quote and gave my response, that's what others do here with mine.  Heck one atheist only took four words and started to rant.  What? atheists are the only ones to snippet quotes and respond.  I know you don't believe in afterlife.  But you did say "Someone could be an atheist and believe in an afterlife."  and my response was to that part only.  That someone you are referring to is not consistent.  You might be consistent, but not that someone.  And also how can you call that someone an atheist if they are not consistent?

I am not going stoop to your level of being a jerk.  You already proved you are big one.   And this evidence you talk about where is it?  Where is the evidence to prove God does not exist?  Finally you don't believe in the afterlife, that's great, you become NOTHING and will be FORGOTTEN, thank God for that.

RE: Am I Going To Hell?
When we die, all our bits break up. What is left to "live on"? The entirely undemonstrated soul/spirit of which there is no evidence whatsoever.

Our bits live on in as much as they will be recycled and will probably end up as parts of other life forms. That's as good as it gets, and you know, I'm very happy with that.

Anything else is not only speculation, but requires ignoring all available evidence to the contrary.

Did those four words change the meaning of your post? If so, call out that individual atheist. Unless Pyrrho was  the one who misquoted you then why do something to him that you disliked having done to you?

How will you know that someone will remember you, after you die?  Are you trying to tell me that after you die, you will know that some one dug your grave. How is that possible that you will know that?  Therefore, after you die, POOF!!! you are NOTHING and will be FORGOTTEN.  Unless you believe that you continue your journey after death and realize there is God behind all this creation.   But that is hard for atheist, right?  There is that "lack of evidence" problem.  No issues at all.   God gives free will for you to believe in whatever you want, and since you refuse to believe in God and afterlife, well then you become "NOTHING" and everyone who has obtain a divine state will just "FORGET" that you even existed.   Who cares if people on earth remember you? You won't be around (after death) to know it anyway.

Wow. That is a pretty selfish way to look at it. I don't care if I know whether or not memories of me carry on. The possibility that it will is what keeps me alive. People on earth are the only people I care about. The only people I know exist. While you devote your life dreaming about fantasizes, I will be here in the real world. While you care about how people that don't even exist anymore will remember you, I will care about how people that DO exist care about me.
