How Does It Feel?

I fully realize that only the Holy Spirit can affect a conversion, so I'm not really in the business of saving souls. Instead my contribution is to insure that all will be familiar with the reasons why belief in God is rational (and it is) so that disbelievers will be found without excuse when they stand before the White Throne.

You are such a laugh Chad, that was special thanks.

Chad, it seems that you left out question number 5 and substituted it for number 6.

2) Atheist have not made any sound arguments.
4) Not clear here, need example of what you are trying to say here.   If you are talking about beliefs then yes I defend my beliefs
5) This goes back to my response 2) - Atheist have not made any sound arguments.
6) This question applies equally to you as it does to me.
1) I am asking because it seems pretty strange. Nope, I never said that. I see you are still working on your straw man skills, young ktrap. You have been taught well.
2) LOL. Exactly what do we need to argue for? What do we need to defend? You make a positive claim, I don't. WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!?
4) For example: You don't want to take time to spew out a half decent response so you just say any garbage that comes to your mind so you don't seem like you are ignoring the atheist.
5) This goes back to my response 2) - You are an idiot.
6) I already DID answer this, but I will answer it again. I am learning constantly. Every time I post one of these threads, I learn more than I could watching YouTube videos (which use to be my only way to find atheist content). There. I answered it. Now stop evading my questions.

 4) No.
 5) Not about what I believe, no. About some things yes, but probably not as they intended.
 6) I can ask you the same thing, I do bcause as I said it makes me stronger, I learn

2) You can never "know" anything for certain. That is why 99% of everything in science is called a theory.
3) Do you know how many times you have responded to one of my posts and I get sick to my stomach thinking that I have to respond back?
4) I find that hard to believe. Many times I have received verbal diarrhea from you. It seems that you spit out anything you possibly can so it doesn't seem like you are hiding from responses.
5) Elaborate, please?
6) I am learning things new every time I post one of these threads.

I see you left out #1, why?

2) I know 100% that God's real, it's not my fault science can't have the certainty I have, but then were talking about man's knowledge vs God's omniscience.

3) I have hardly posted to you but, if it makes you sick to respond then STOP. You want hurt my feelings.

4) You seem to be confused as to my responses to you, I'm very consistent in my beliefs.

5) Let's leave you with a mystery for now, just know I've learned from both sides of the fence.

6) That's a good thing as long as it's the truth you are learning.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

(August 2, 2015 at 1:10 am)Shuffle Wrote: This is the third thread in which I ask theists very simple questions that deserve very simple answers. The last one was Am I Going To Hell?

The questions I propose to you are:
  1. Why are you, as a theist, on this forum?
  2. What goes through your mind when an atheist responds to one of your posts by pointing out its logical fallacies and glaring mistakes?
  3. Have you ever ignored one of these responses by not responding back?
  4. Have you ever defended yourself with something you know has inherent flaws, but do it anyway?
  5. Have you ever changed your mind by reading an atheist's response to you?
  6. If not, then why bother being part of a discussion that goes no where?

Thanks!

1.  As I posted in my intro thread I enjoy having cordial, respectful discord with others on questions we all have.
2.  Well that's an interesting question, but I think the reciprocal is fair as well.  I own up to my mistakes if I see them.
3.  I really try not to.  Sometimes I don't have time and miss some responses or threads entirely as I can only devote a few minutes at a time on here while at work.
4.  If I ever used an argument knowing it had inherent flaws I would slap myself.
5.  In what regard?  About my beliefs, no.  About how I will respond, yes.
6.  I believe while each side will hold to the arguments is true it does not mean it is not worth having.  The more we learn the more we grow.  But this would be fair to reciprocate the question in why atheists bother engaging in a discussion with theists that goes nowhere...

Progress to what exactly?  The world holds no purpose or destiny, right?

The world doesn't, but individual people have desires and hence purposes.  The world does not care if you and I kill each other, but you and I probably care about that.  Other people care about such things, too.

I left out #1 because I had no grievances with it. You presented a good reason to be on here.

2) Do you know gravity exists? Atoms? Tectonic movement? Those are all theories. Things we do not and can not know for certain, yet you believe they exist.
3) I don't respond to preserve your feelings. Quite the opposite actually.
5) Let's leave out #4 for a mystery for now, just know that it was GARBAGE!
6) I am learning things from the people that respond, including you. That does not mean I agree with a SINGLE thing you have said.

For the record, I have answered this question 2 other times in the same post. Please read the entire thread before posting. Anyway... I am constantly learning every time I post one of these threads. That is the purpose of asking so many questions.

Oh I know you did, but there are others involved in the discussion as well.  Smile
