Two Reasons The Republicunts Will Hate This

Two Reasons The Republicunts Will Hate This
1.  It shows that the Affordable Care Act is working, and
2.  It was written and published in Forbes which means they are TRAITORS!!!!

http://www.forbes.com/sites/brucejapsen/...ls-vanish/

Quote:As hospital operators begin to report second period earnings — the sixth consecutive quarter of new revenue from once uninsured patients — the number and size of unpaid medical bills continues to fall thanks to the Affordable Care Act. The health law last year began to provide subsidized private health insurance coverage on public exchanges and expanded Medicaid for poor Americans. With increasing numbers signing up to private coverage and more states opting to expand Medicaid in the last 18 months, hospital companies are seeing expenses for charity and uncompensated care fall.

(P.S. - this is why even if the Republicunts win, Obamacare ain't going anywhere.  Rich corporate cocksuckers are getting rich off of it.)

The insurance lobby alone would be enough, even if all the other sectors were unaffected.

Of course the number and size of unpaid medical bills have gone down. The public is now paying the medical bills through higher premiums or tax penalties and totally paying for medicaid. The hospitals are now reaping more profits. Hopefully, they will lower their fees in response, but I won't hold my breath waiting for that. As usual, taxpayers shoulder the burden to support obamacare.

There are some usefull burdens for the taxpayers to shoulder. In Europe it's a given that taxpayers pay for social expenses. For a christian it should be not contest to choose between paying for military or healthcare expenses. But that's not what christianity is about these days, is it?

Current estimates show the cost of the Affordable Care Act subsidies at 16 billion....which is something less than 3% of what we piss away on defense without even thinking about all the money sunk down other black holes for the benefit of the death merchants.

You're right about the hospitals, Lek.  They...rich corporate cocksuckers that they are...will continue to bleed people dry until we implement single-payer.  We can only hope for that.

Who said I didn't support a system of universal health care? I was remarking that the burden to pay the bills falls on the taxpayers and that I'd like to see the resulting decrease in medical costs. What you guy's need to realize is that most Republicans are middle and working class citizens who also want our tax dollars spent well. So far the US government's track record in running efficient systems stinks.

But the private sector rips us off for the benefit of the super rich.  I'll take option A and have a little government inefficiency, thank you.

Some Redumbucunts said Dems are to blame for the private insurance corporate givaway. Bullshit, they are the assholes who throw fits shouting "FREE. MARKET", and then bitch when we get it to work better than they do.

The truth is this is the best Dems could get considering the blackmailing GOP brats hoding their breath like a child at the candy Isle, Dems simply get to the point of buying them something just to shut them up. But even when it still benefits them, they throw a tantrum.

In most European countries it's actually a two pillar system. There's one state funded insurance where everybody pays in and gets guaranteed health care, prescription drugs and preventive medicine in return. And there's the private sector. In Germany, as far as I'm aware you can choose between the public and the private sector. Usually it's an addon that offers additional services, such as single rooms in hospitals and access to certain doctors that don't have contracts with public insuirances.
