Not that I'm a big fan of Clinton, since she's a shameless money grabber like all the others and I don't have a horse in the race anyway. But do you think, the average American electorate is open enough to vote for a woman?
Certainly.

Well one could be a plain spoken every man and still be an intelligent leader. But that will never be the Republicans.
Without a doubt, one can be plain spoken and intelligent. There does seem to be a tendency for some tea-party types to equate any intellect with so-called liberal elitism, though.

Hillary will benefit from being a woman - especially against a pig like Trump. More women typically vote than men and she'll win 60% of that group, easy.
It's always hilarious to listen to the talking heads on tv about how groups vote.  It just shows their ignorance.  For example, overall Obama got way more women voters than Romney but it simply didn't make one iota of a difference in the Red States, which Romney won by big margins.

In today's environment the only thing that matters is for the Dem candidate to get more votes that the Repub in the Blue States.  The Repub candidate can get 100% of the vote in the Red States and he will still lose the election provided the Dem voters out vote the Repubs in the Blue States.  So any poll between the Repub and the Dem in the Red States is completely worthless and a waste of time to read.  The only poll that matters is a poll of the Dem voters in the Blue States.  If they start going for the Repub candidate then the Repub will most likely win the election.

Personally I would rather vote for a maggot than for Hillary and the sole reason I would vote for her is that she will most likely get a couple of SCOTUS slots to fill.  I would hate to see the Repubs get their hands on them.

Not quite, Wyrd.  Only the swing states matter.  In fact, in each of the swing states only a handful of counties matter.

We are that polarized.  Trump is actually enough of a shithead that he might scare the independents who really decide things.

Most of the land mass is red but the Dems win the Blue States because of the large population centers which out vote the thin red areas.  As I said before, the swing States don't generally matter to the Dem Candidate.

In each case, voter turnout in the cities determines how the state goes.  This is why the republicunts are trying to suppress minority voting.
