 Was just trying to encourage you to quit with a little tongue and cheek, quitting is a competition, you're competing for your life against an enemy that can be defeated, it's a gift worth giving yourself.

Go ahead smoke yourself to death, it's no skin off my teeth, smoking causes more things to go wrong with the body than the lungs, it's a contributor to colon cancer, want to wear a bag on your side the rest of your life, just keep smoking. There are times... when I feel like I just need to smoke so bad.

The other day when I was driving it occurred to me to check the ashtray in my truck.  It was clean and empty except for a partially smoked Camel.  No idea how long it had been there.  In the past, I probably would have been tempted to fire that bad boy up.

I tossed it in the garbage.  Yay, me.

Nice job! Hang in there buddy. Have you considered smoking an E-Cig with no nicotine, or do you think that would make you want to smoke a real one again?

Yeah your right, doing the E-cig thing would be a trigger to return to smoking and you are as you say, doing this for lung health. I can't see how anything other than the air we breath could be safe. Keep up the good work and remember the gift you're giving yourself.

The persistent congestion is clearing, I can breathe easier and deeper than at any time in recent memory, and my endurance is improving.

I am very proud of you. I remember when my grandparents stopped smoking; they felt so much healthier as a result and it certainly made it easier for me as well, not having to breath in all that nasty second hand smoke.
