I love how Atheists are not capable of deep thinking.  They take everything so literal without ever defining their own belief system.  I am a Christian and I'm not afraid to share my belief system.  I believe the word of God has a deeper meaning then we are capable of comprehending.  For example, for all we know, hell does not really exist but is described in the scripture for other reasons.  Maybe hell is simply used as a teaching tool?  Or maybe hell does exist but is only meant for pure evil...someone like Hitler?  Maybe it was never intended for someone who simply doesn't believe in God but has a clean soul? 

So why should we take "I can make up an alternative reading of this that makes it slightly better, but will not present evidence that it's actually the case," at all seriously?

I love how Atheists love to attack the beliefs of other people without ever defining their own beliefs.  I suppose Atheists are superior to people who believe in a creator because science has obviously proved that matter has existed forever with no beginning.  Your belief system has absolutely no scientific evidence to support your claims.  It is not superior to any religion so do not be so quick to waste your life away attacking religion.

What belief system would that be? Atheism is a position on a single issue- namely the existence of god- and nothing more. Beyond that, our belief systems can be quite variable, making your broad, blanket generalizations entirely false.

And any dumbfuck with a little English under his belt can read the multiple definitions of atheism the various atheists here hold, so long as said dumbfuck is not a lazy thinker who prefers the comfort of his own preconceived notions.

With all those "maybes" and ifs" and "for all we knows", it sounds like you don't know jack-shit about what you believe and are appealing to word-salad in order to avoid having to actually think for yourself.

Here's my lack of belief: I don't believe in any gods, because none I've looked into have any evidence in their favor; and I don't have any faith at all. Now, you can go around the forum and read many, many more statements along those lines and on that topic.

Atheism is the default position. If you wish to demonstrate the truth of your god, marshal your evidence and present it ... or, alternatively, fuck right off.
