Thanks Exian Smile Yes, when I make a mistake, I'm happy to admit it. It seems I misinterpreted or my memory let me down.

Heh...my take is that rob was being sarcastic when he said, "OK, I got that wrong then."

Hence my response.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you're wrong. Inquiring minds want to know...

We posted almost simultaneously, so let me respond this way:

rob, if you were being sincere in saying that you were in error then I completely misinterpreted your post.

I was wrong, and I apologize to you and to Exian for my error.

Oh yeah, I can see that being a sarcastic response, but it coming from rob, I was pretty sure it was sincere. No worries.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

It appears a primarily egotistical one.  Or were you trying to figure out what arguments work?  If so, you might have framed the question more generally.  Something along the lines of, have you ever heard an argument for god that gave you any pause?

Quite possible as truly good arguments for god are very thin on the ground.

Yes, well.  Many of us feel the same about the counter arguments made to you.  They appear to fly over your head.  Next?

(August 30, 2015 at 12:30 pm)Randy Carson Wrote: 3. I have posted good points but no one is willing to publicly admit this in front of their friends here in the forum. (I think this is true of the majority.)

I rather doubt that.

Highly relevant as the arguments you have posted have been argued to death on this forum and attributing them as a good arguments posted by you would be silly.

Projecting a little?

No, Randy. I actually don't honestly see any good argument for god at all. That's why I'm a fucking atheist. DUH.

If we've heard it all before and are still atheists, isn't it reasonable to conclude that we've also recognized the problems with the arguments we've heard before, which therefore cannot be good arguments?

How did you determine we weren't honest? You empower yourself to just dictate to us our own positions so often, but when it comes to offering more than just the bare assertion, when you're actually asked to support your intimations, you never do. You seem to just want to discount what everyone says by fiat, but surely you can see how transparently self serving all these baseless accusations of malevolence really are?

You better stick with #1 Randy. Even if you think it's absurd, I don't see anyone rushing to your defense here.
