okay now we're getting somewhere with an answer.  Even in the clip with the islam guy on it he kept saying that the fight was about defending themselves.  I want to know what it is that he believes we are doing that justifies this "defence"?
I know that the media wont come out and say it.

I believe the context of that clip is the oppression of people of African descent in the United States. Seems it's alright when the police kill people in defence, yet when the oppressed want to fight back we condemn the violence. Agreed, there are many Fascists in preaching Mosques across the West, but there also many more reasonable people.

And the source very much matters. With Beck and others like him you have a clear agenda. That's why I compared him to Goebbels. Truths don't matter as much as propaganda.

I use to say, even Alex Jones can be right at some point. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't know where he's standing and be extra cautious because of that.

Ones own research takes time and i clearly stated that I will first lay down a foundation of knowledge that is neutral.  You'll have to better than insults to convince me to study that first.

If you're after purely factual data about Islamic doctrine then Dr Bill Warner (physicist) has done a statistical analysis of the 3 Islamic holy books. This is the quickest way to get an objective view of Islam.

The reason my reply sounds offensive to you is that (a) it doesn't take long to watch those videos and (b) Beck makes the point of saying it's a factual book. But if you can't do the little "research" required to watch a few videos, because you're put off by your own preconceptions about Beck, then you're never going to find the info you're looking for. You have to put aside bias and take the information wherever you find it. After reading several different authors you get a feel for what is real and what is hyped BS. So, just dive in and start reading and watching videos.

The majority of Islamic texts are about how to treat non-believers, not about inner character development.

Mohammed preached peace and tolerance (sort of) for 13 years in Mecca and converted 150 Arabs to Islam. When he went to Medina he became a politician and a warrior. In the last 9 years of his life he conquered all of Arabia.

Conclusion: religion was a failure; jihad a massive success.

Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. I don't plan on reading anything by Glenn Beck's ghost writer, but the problems with terrorist are about Islam.
