RE: Birmingham Quran fragments older than Muhammad...lol
Wonder if Mecca will get nuked first by 'in house' Islamic schismatics, the US Air Force, or the Rooskis ??
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Although not a nuke, Meeca has been subject to terrorist attacks already, the Masjid al-Haram no less. In 1979 114 people were killed when militants stormed the Mosque.

I gather ISIS or a faction thereof wants the place erased.

It would be a start . . . .

Here's a good article I've just skimmed through on the Birmingham Quran pieces, worth a read:

Interesting observations but this comment:

Quote:The Muslim version should be accepted not because Islam is God’s true religion and therefore Muslims’ claims must be true.  It should be accepted because it requires fewer leaps of faith than alternatives.  It holds that a man named Muhammad, claiming to be a prophet, uttered a series of revelations between 610 and 632 CE and that, around the year 650 Ce, these statements were collected into the Quran.

is true only because Brown chooses to ignore the leaps of faith which muslims insist happened.  He is doing for mo what Jefferson did for jesus.  Take out all the silly, supernatural, shit and reduce it to something which he, as a modern 21st century man, is comfortable with.  I wonder if any of our resident muslims would be willing to toss out the "angel-visits-mo-in-the- cave" story?  Without it, in Brown's view, islam becomes something very close to mormonism.  The primitive ramblings of one nut.

I disagree.  Jesusism clearly bears the marks of "too many cooks."
