I assume that some of the forum theists here have had some degree of success in swaying others towards religious belief. I'm curious as to which type of non-believer theists find easier to persuade: Life-long atheists, ex-theists, or theists of different religious backgrounds altogether?

I can imagine christians and muslims would find it harder to convert the other. They both likely believe in hell, so you can't really use that against them. they're risking hell either way. A lifelong atheist might be the kind that's given no serious thought to religion, and is more likely to convert. Unless they have given serious thought, then they're in the same group as the ex-theist.

Well, in the places I generally lurk, theists usually have little to no luck converting anyone. I can't think of a single instance where I have observed a theist successfully converting anyone, so even if it happens, I'm not sure if even they would be able to answer your question in any measure but the purely anecdotal. Which most of us would find suspect anyway...
I would more generally advocate that one only leave one entrance into their mind(reason), and keep the rest of it rather closed, as it is one hell of a lot easier to shovel shit in than it is to get it out.

If the evidence and reason for you to believe something isn't really any better than the reason you should believe some rural farmer from Arkansas got anally probed by interstellar visitors, then you probably shouldn't.
