What chances do I take? I'm not unique in never needing to resort to violence stronger than my fists to protect myself and mine, nor in walking in public without the thought of getting shot anywhere near my mind. Is it so unbelievable that a person can actually live their whole life over here and never even see a gun?

My friend didn't think he was taking a chance by fishing in the country but his face sure got bashed in by a club anyway. Do you think that you could take on a group of 5 that are determined to fuck you up? Most people aren't Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris. I've had quite a bit of martial arts training and I'd prefer not to go hand to hand with a gang.

You may never see a gun but I'm sure violence still occurs.

Actually I never see guns when I'm out in public here. They are all around me but I don't see them (other than my own).

Even our police aren't armed as a matter of course with anything more lethal than batons and pepper sprays, and the majority of the time those are little more than part of the image. Just the presence of a couple of uniforms generally does the trick. And when there are no police around, that's when the anarchy and the looting starts. Oh no, wait - no it doesn't.

I have many military style guns to train you on. We don't even have to go to a range. We can shoot on my own property. If you hang around long enough, I'll teach you how to reload your own ammo. I have several kinds of powders and bullets to choose from and different calibers too.
