I think it has the most potential to really impact the game - for 30 seasons idols have had a very specific look to them every season, so now that they really might look like "a @#$! stick" there could be some interesting opportunities for deception or mistrust to be laid among players and alliances.

Number 4 is interesting too because

we'll get to see who is completely out for themselves and who is willing to sacrifice a chance for individual immunity for the sake of winning tribal immunity. I'm thinking Abi Maria will go for it if she's able to find a clue - she seems the most likely candidate to ditch her tribe to save herself.

Oh no, definitely a thing.  I never expected to like it.  Skipped the first season.  Watched one episode of season 2 and haven't missed another since.  Of course I had the same reaction to Game of Thrones before it started.  Only watched it at all because HBO has had produced some real winners.  That led to reading all the books and watching every new episode.  Never say never.

I didn't either. I thought the whole idea was pretty stupid - but Kitty introduced me to it years ago and I got hooked pretty quickly.
