SURVIVOR
RE: SURVIVOR
Bugs are the food of the future, c172; it's only a matter of time before scorpions and beetles are gracing the plates of the finest New York restaurants.

What gets me is the gross food challenges from other seasons where they do potentially rancid "delicacies" - um, no.

Exactly. Balut kind of fit there, and brains of various types as well. A scorpion doesn't so much gross me out but scare me. I hate being stung.

So you're saying you don't want a Jeff's Special from season 18 (Pearl Islands)?

Merged at 13 people, wow! I thought this was a great episode!

I thought it was really unsmooth the way Tasha handled Kass. Ultimately it came down in her favor because Kass is gone, but I wouldn't be surprised if Tasha came under suspicion in the next couple episodes.

Stephen's poem in the shelter was funny - everyone looked like they were giving each other "WTF is he talking about?" looks.

I still don't like Savage.

I'm glad Spencer is making his way into the game a little more rather than being on the outs. Looks like he and Joe might have a thing moving forward.

I need to rewatch this episode, so much happened that I can't even remember most of it! Tongue

Just saw yesterday's episode. Loved it. Super happy my 3 favorites are still in - Joe, Spencer, Andrew.

Didn't mind seeing Kass go. Enjoyed seeing Joe and Spencer kinda getting along and working together a little bit. I've been wanting to see them play together since voting for this season's cast was up and they were both options. I knew they'd get along and it'll be interesting watching them compete against each other in challenges where I'm sure Spencer will come just short of Joe each time.

CM, how did you like Stephen's poetry? Or whatever the heck that was? LOL! Wink

With that being said it seems impossible to know right now who the winner is going to be. It seems everyone gets a lot of air time in phases. Stephen wasn't getting in before, but now is getting lot's. And Kelly Went who got a ton before has taken a bit of a back seat. Anyone could be the winner at this point, but I still think it'll be one of the "weaker"players. Less threatening. Probably a woman or one of the more quiet men. I still think Kelly Went has a good chance to win, especially since it looks like she did the smart thing and just voted with the majority against Kass last night.

Has anyone seen Kass's ponderosa yet? I'm about to go watch it.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

I thought of you when I was watching: "Oh, look! Cathy and my favorite players are all aligned! We have no reason to argue..." Wink

I was sad. I think she's more entertaining to watch than Tasha - speaking not from a "who's playing a better game" mentality but purely from a "this person is great TV!" perspective. I'm not tuning in every week to watch Tasha, even though I think she's playing a pretty good game.

I do think she wasn't doing great this week with the whole "I never said Bayon was finished!" thing. Um, yeah, you kind of did. She may have been lying when she said it, but she said it and Kass was taking advantage. Ultimately things broke Tasha's way and not Kass's, but I didn't think that was stellar game play on Tasha's part.

That was funny. I loved the "WTF is going on?" looks everyone seemed to be exchanging with each other.

That's why I like all star seasons - they tend to have a lot of potential winners in them. At this point, I don't have high hopes for people like Keith, Abi, Wigs or Kimmi but they could pull a rabbit from their hats here in the merge-phase of the game and put together a winning game (I'll fall out of my chair if Abi wins).

I'd be shocked if Savage, Joe or Spence made it to the end - I think they're being puffed up as big overall threats and are on everyone's radar.

Stephen and Cierra seem like strategic threats, Stephen because he's got a reputation and Cierra because of her "play to win" speech and her history from BvW.

Tasha seems to be in a strange sort of place all by herself - she's playing a strategic game, she's potentially a challenge threat, but she might have stepped in it enough with Kass that the stink will linger and she might be voted out sooner rather than later.

Kelly and Jeremy are the ones to watch out for to me at this point. They're both playing subtle games (at least, what we see of them) and they are both in possession of idols and no one knows they have them (as far as we've been told).

Is that everyone? There's 12 left in the game so:

Abi
Cierra
Jeremy
Joe
Keith
Kelly
Kimmi
Savage
Spencer
Stephen
Tasha
Wigs

I'm rewatching the episode over my lunch break. I haven't been watching too many secret scenes and I haven't watched Ponderosa stuff since, I think, Philippines so... like 6(?) seasons ago.

Common you guys. You know I can't find shit without a link. So where is this ponderosa happening (pweeze). I take it that means Kass is on the jury?)

I do think it is great that they keep throwing these guys a lot of curves - like the merge at 13. It is a pretty savvy group after all.

Oh and I was very happy to see Spencer voted as planned, for Ciera. I was happy to see all her scolding in the lead up didn't change anything. Kind of hard to see how arguing that he should do what is in his best interest long term would have had the effect she was hoping for.
