Yes, because the lives of 800,000 cops just trumps those of the 1152 people that were killed by them. 
That's the suffering of 1152 families that will never see their loved ones again due to police brutality. But fuck that. 800,000 cop families will still get to enjoy theirs.

1/800 chance - that seems high.

You have a 1 in 800 chance of your child being born with Down syndrome. People with DS are everywhere. So are people being killed by cops.
I'd venture to say that had a select few cities been infected with bad cops, we would be able to look at those select PDs as having major problems where a systematic breakdown would be necessary, but bad cops infiltrate every state in this country. And as evidenced by this thread, it is much more widespread than just a select few departments.
That's a huge problem for this country. Anyone who refuses to acknowledge this is both ignorant and blind.

There was 32,675 automobile related fatalities in 2014. In 2014, there was 260,350,938 registered vehicles tallied for Highway use.
That maps out as a crude estimate of 1 fatality per 7967 cars.
We accept the risk of death when we drive, yet the cars are doing better than the guys with guns and brains.
