Not only do cops need better training, but they need to be vetted before they can join a police force.  I don't give a shit if my auto repair guy is half a bubble off, but a person who can take a life as part of their jobs better be one well adjusted person with their head on straight.

These police departments are releasing some bad hombres into society.  All you need most of the time is a two year degree which doesn't necessarily have to be law enforcement related, and then a 16 week police academy training program.

They are vetted. I know a guy who works out at my gym, his son went through the tests to become a cop and they rejected him because they thought he was lying. He went to South Carolina and became a cop there.  The people vetting need to know what the hell they are doing, too much of this insanity happens daily.

Bakersfield woman, mistaken for male suspect, files excessive force claim against police

Tatyana Hargrove was arrested on June 18 after Bakersfield police stopped her because she matched the description of a suspect who was armed with a machete and had visited a grocery store. During the stop, Hargrove claimed, she was beaten by officers and attacked by a police dog.

She "matched" the description, huh?

The suspect was described as a 30-year-old black male who was 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighed 160 pounds and had a shaved head and goatee, according to the police report. The man was carrying a pink duffel bag.

Hargrove is black, and stands 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, according to the police report. She wore a red and black Spiderman backpack.

And I bet she didn't have a shaved head and a goatee, either.

But she was black and I guess in Bakersfield that is close enough.  Fine police work, eh G/S?
