“I am so saddened, and I’m so sorry this incident happened, because I truly think it could have been avoided,” Murfreesboro Police Chief Karl Durr told the Tennessean newspaper in an interview published on Sunday.

Atlanta cop in ‘Robocop mode’ caught on tape breaking man’s leg — over a Walmart tomato

Security footage of the October 2014 encounter shows King approach Carnegay as he is walking out of the store. A manager accused Carnegay of stealing the tomato from the store. King quickly takes his baton out and begins hitting Carnegay, who does not retaliate. King continues to hit Carnegay after he goes to the ground. Jones, who was off-duty but providing security for the store, later found Carnegay’s receipt for the tomato after reaching inside his pocket.

“The officer went into Robocop mode and beat the crap out of him,” said Carnegay’s attorney, Craig Jones.

Cleveland cops still blame Tamir Rice for his shooting death after $6 million settlement with family

The head of the Cleveland Police Union released a statement on Monday putting the onus on 12-year-old Tamir Rice’s family for gun education efforts in the wake of the boy’s fatal shooting at the hands of two officers, the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reported.
The statement from Steve Loomis came after the announcement that city officials had reached a $6 million settlement with the family in connection with the 2014 shooting.
“We can only hope the Rice family and their attorneys will use a portion of this settlement to help educate the youth of Cleveland in the dangers associated with the mishandling of both real and facsimile firearms,” Loomis said.

Funny how people will defend cops no matter what until their kid gets shot up by these fuckers. In June or July of last year I attended a cops funeral and I was disgust to find out afterwards he committed suicide cause he was about to be caught with embezzlement. He tried to make it look like a murder. You'd think he would have just went to court and took the lesser time since he is a cop. Fucking cowards.
