They think when I say I'm anti theist, it means I'm against people who use religion to give them hope, and make them feel better. ignoring all the horrible stuff people do in the name of their god. Like it's the grandma who helps people out and prays to god before meals, instead of the pastors who call for exterminating gay people, and politicians trying to turn the USA into a theocracy, that I'm concerned about.
