If Any, What is Your Most Negative View on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?
March 30, 2025 at 5:30 pm
Hello to all,
This is my first post here. As a scholar deeply engaged with Islamic studies, my expertise spans the entire breadth of the field. I'm interested in understanding the views of forum members concerning the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Specifically, I would like to know if there is any particular aspect related to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that has influenced you negatively. If so, could you please elaborate on why?
Thank you,
Al-Amiyr

Nothing comes to mind. Good question, though.

I rarely think about Muhammad. Things come up here occasionally and I don't give those discussions much attention, basically because they don't interest me. I know I've heard negatives in the past but couldn't give you details except the picture/image controversy.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

How about starting with this fact that: I will not say anything publicly about Islam because I have a family. Let me ask you. What do you think of Molly Norris, Salman Rushdie, and Theo Van Gogh (RIP)?

As someone who does not believe in gods or divine prophesy, I think that it's absurd to speak of anyone as a "Prophet." Therefore, I see Muhammad as just another man falsely claiming to bring a divine message.

Mohamed popularized necrophilia like when had sex with the dead woman - his aunt "I (Muhammad) put on her my shirt that she may wear the clothes of heaven, and I slept with her in her coffin (grave) that I may lessen the pressure of the grave. She was the best of Allah's creatures to me after Abu Talib." from hadith book of "Kanz Al Umal"
Pedophilia is most widely known of Muhammad's sexual's perversions and Islamic traditions record it very good. Hadith go in detail with his grooming of a 9 year old wife Aisha, which started when she was only 6 years old: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old
From Sahih Bukhari 7:62:64
If you read psychological papers about pedophiles it was probably because Muhammad was sexually abused as a child by either his grandfather, uncle or a close family relation since he was abandoned by his mother at the age of 6. Aisha was known to be his favorite spouse and he might have found an emotional connection to her because he himself was mentally immature.
And it's really disguising into which kind of details Hadith go into describing Muhammad engaged with a 9 year old child. Like in Sahih Bukhari 1:6:298 where he fondled the young girl during bath time and during the "menstruation" she was ordered to cover her genitals. But, of course, girls that young don't have periods so bleeding was probably a result of forced rape.
And Aisha wasn't the only child that Muhammad preyed on. Muhammad was not someone you would want around your kids because he could barely contain his sexual urges around children: “I saw the prophet sucking on the tongue of Al-Hassan son of Ali, may the prayers of Allah be upon him. For no tongue or lips that the prophet sucked on will be tormented (by hell fire).”
Musnad Ahmad 16245
Muhammad also had homosexual tendencies, especially when other tribes had begun to notice Muhammad's hints towards homosexual pedophilia, and were shocked at his inappropriate behavior: A bedouin came to the Prophet and said, "You (people) kiss the boys! We don't kiss them." The Prophet said, "I cannot put mercy in your heart after Allah has taken it away from it."
Sahih Bukhari 8:73:27
In Quran there is some of Muhammad's homosexual fantasies, like when he fatasized about young boys in heaven: There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. When you see them, you would think them [as beautiful as] scattered pearls. Quran 76:19
And when we compare it to Hadith, like Al Hadis Vol. 4 There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have intercourse with them.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

His followers drove airplanes into buildings, that's a big no-no for me. It started the unwinding of a democracy that I cherished. Granted, he wasn't one of the terrorists, but his inspiration was certainly negative upon 19 guys.

Seems pretty standard for a warlord of his time and stature. That's not great, but it's difficult to see how that would negatively influence anyone who didn't already believe he was more or better than he was. As far as warlords go, I think I prefer Brennus or Cao Cao.

Child rape.
Every time I see people defend this child rapist, I am feeling sick. What about you? Does it not make you feel sick when people defend child rapists?

Frankly, the whole “Marrying Aisha when she’s fucking nine” thing is the most glaringly obvious thing to come to mind at the moment.
Maybe he did at least wait until she had her first period, and maybe that was fairly common in those times. That said, why are we using a warlord from 1400 years ago as a moral exemplar?
