The sad part is, they could have addressed it in the episode where they visit the CDC. They could have used the doc there who was studying the walkers (spoiler

/spoiler) to explain the mechanism by which the walkers don't decay as fast as a regular corpse.
May have something to do with hemoglobin, according to Zombie Physiology. I'm dead serious...it's a thing. Wink

There's only one possible explanation for zombies, the way they are presented in "The Walking Dead", as well as most other zombie stories - magic. I think the creators of the show realize that attempts at explaining any of it using science would just draw attention to the inconsistencies and impossibilities. Which is why none of the characters ever seem to wonder or talk about how any of this is possible. And scientists - apparently really bad at surviving the apocalypse... Or really good at hiding.

RE: TWD Season 6
iZombie is better than TWD zombies at not rotting away, and giving consistent explanations. TWD is a bit stupid, like in the first episode, they are worried about the curious adventurous type zombies head-butting through their road barrier thing that they magically made... somehow,,, yet they should already know they can tie those jawless, armless Zs to their wall like in the prison, and that should significantly deter the curiosity of other Zs.

Next they scouted the sector, saw that zombie filled store thing, but waited till actually after starting the mission before clearing it.

They have the pit, so they clear it, but how does that prevent it from filling up again? No new Zs gonna show up and fall in there ever again?

I watched a bit of iZombie. I thought I would be turned off by the title, but it is quite a good show with a good flare of humor.

I watched a few episodes in the beginning, but it did not hold my interest.

Personally I felt FTWD, the spin-off, did better than TWD this season.
