Telegraphed the ending from the very beginning and I'm not sure how I feel about it but I still pulled one of these:

Overall I thought it was a good character episode --

-- even though I'm still WTFing over Carl getting shot in the face and living through it and being up and walking around within weeks of getting shot and not showing any signs of trouble after having a bullet pass through his brain... Dodgy

It didn't enter his skull, it merely grazed his eye, I think. With enough force to blind him, though.

I'm guessing the bullet would've entered through the front of the eye and exited (or nearly exited) through the outer edge.
