Looking for Camcorder

I'm looking for a camcorder or camera that has a (low to no power) viewfinder, only flash memory (e.g. sd cards...), has decent zoom, doesn't turn off when you close the LCD monitor. My maximum price is 250$. I was hoping someone here knew about cameras and could help me out. I'm posting this on craigslist too.

the camcorder in the picture is good but all the ones I saw at Walmart with this design turn off when you close the LCD monitor and don't have a viewfinder. If I could find a camera like the one in the picture that didn't power down when the LCD is closed, I'd buy it and just adapt. The reason I'm so concerned with having a viewfinder or being able to turn of the LCD monitor is because the LCD monitor takes most of the power. I had a small camera by canon that had a viewfinder and with the monitor on the battery would last a couple hours but with the monitor off, using the viewfinder, the battery would last 5x longer.
