I'm reminded of the disgusting display of willful ignorance that was brought to us by the bloke that said he'd believe that 2+2=5 if it said so in the bible.

That's the danger in total submission to any authority. But even if the bible said that, and he claimed he believed 2+2=5, I'm sure that belief would disappear pretty quickly when I give him four pound coins and ask him to give me a fiver back.

I wouldn't put much past people who believe things on par with dinosaurs coexisting with and being ridden by people. I can hear the complaints now - "but Cthulhu, I don't believe such nonsense". Maybe not, but if you support or defend Ken Ham and his fraud of a "museum", you're supporting or defending fraud and an enormous waste of human potential. Fuck that. A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love. (October 25, 2015 at 8:55 am)TheRocketSurgeon Wrote: They are The Flintstones literalists.
