Nonsense 1, what is it about jail that helps convicted criminals " find god "? Latest one is ex-armed robber Mathew Martinson who, after serving his sentence has now " qualified " as a priest ( who needs priests? it's more plumbers we need! ) .
Said new priest claims " God said to me you have a choice to accept or reject me". He continues " to look back where I've come from to where I am now, is to see God's grace at work".

Nonsense 2, hundreds of Brazilian evangelists are heading to South Africa for the footbal World Cup competition to " convert, preach and bolster their churches' flocks ( sic ) on the continent. They will be focussing on fans from North Korea ( they regard them as godless ) since they prayed for that country to qualify for the competition AND that it would be in the same group as Brazil. They " glorified God for the opportunity to announce to the Korean fans the message of Jesus ".
Unfortunately, God has come up a little short because the North Korean regime will ensure that only a very few selected of its population will make the trip!

Well, the same thing about jail that leads other convicted criminals to doing drugs. It is an extremely stressful situation, and people will do anything to lighten the stress. Oddly enough, I remember reading in a book (American Fascists, I think it was), that there seems to be a common thread among converts to Evangelical Christianity: many of them had lived unsavory lives and this is their way of escaping that.
