christianity is the religion that was beaten into people and it was the same fucking religion that justified slavery beating and killing of slaves.
that same fucking religion that the people of color still choose to follow because it is so fucking deeply ingrained into tradition they don't fucking look back at mother fucking history and say to your god you believe in fuck that guy and his son. Those people back then were for every intense and purpose is more christian than you and any christian in the first world. Those people followed the bible to the letter and look at what they did i don't respect christianity or any religion with yaweh in it. Well no if you think about it why do you think the bible is cherry picked and only the good parts are said out loud during church service. So yeah christians of color are stupid but they aren't crazy they just didn't brush up on their fucking history if they did they would hate christians for what it's what it's worth. Also before you go and try to slander atheists just remember who has more people in jail, who has more issues with marriage and who has more issues with porn and over all has more health issues certainly not atheists. There is athiests of color and they do understand their history and you know what i am proud of them they see through the bullshit of the bible and its fucking racist, misogynistic, child abuse 101, evil, violent teachings.

Your spokesman in the video is a good match for the atheist posters in this thread. Maybe if I used the "f" word in every sentence you guys would be intimidated and would agree with me. Obviously, you assume that all slave owners were christians, although I don't know how you can support that. What religion were the abolitionists and the majority of northerners who were against slavery? What religion were the Africans natives who sold people to the slave traders to transport across the ocean. How does the fact that Joseph Stalin was an atheist, who was responsible for the deaths of millions, reflect on atheists? Your tirade is nothing but a bunch of bad sounding stuff that happened throughout history blamed on christianity. Still, you haven't shown how christianity oppresses the people of color who you call stupid. ^Again the guy in the video proved a point no matter how much you try to make your religion look good it just doesn't.
Christianity had a really messed up past and still messed up do you realize how many christian groups that literally worse than isis and that

I think what you're missing is that the good ol' Bible, The "Good Book" fucking justified slavery. (And yes, I use the word fuck in as many sentences as possible, because it's my favorite fucking word). It wasn't just some Christian Nutjob who said "SLAVERY IS GOOD!" The holy text upon which your entire religion is based was totally cool with slavery. It was also cool with stoning people, and totally cool with all the fucking misogyny.
Did some Christians ignore that stupid shit? Sure. Plenty of them did. They were like "Fuck that, slavery isn't cool. Even though my holy text says it is. I'm just going to ignore that part, and ignore all the parts about stoning people. Obviously that wasn't intended for everybody. The Gay stuff? Totally intended for everyone. Ew!" Also the founding fathers of all people weren't even christian they knew how bad it was and Lincoln of all people knew and the other founding fathers knew slavery was wrong and other people knew it was wrong as well. If this were a christian nation it slavery itself would have ended a lot later in this countries history.

You can use the f word all you want. People usually don't use it when engaging in respectful discourse. Killings, rape and slavery all happened in the old testament times and were directed by God. We can agree on that. Those things were also prevalent in the other societies at the time. God was in the process of establishing the Jewish nation against murderous neighbors. The one time when the Israelites disobeyed the command to wipe out the whole nation of the Amalekites, it came back to haunt them.

Since slavery in the new testament times commonly included bond servants, I assume that was what Paul was referring to when he talked about "slavery". The Greek word used could be translated either way. Since all of Jesus' teachings would preclude forcefully enslaving a person, I would have to assume the new testament refers to bond servants. Otherwise, it would contradict the teachings of Jesus. Christians are not permitted by Jesus to divorce except in cases where adultery is involved, whether or not many christians get divorces. As for shellfish - I like fried shrimp and I'm not under the old testament Jewish law. I don't ignore the biblical opinion of the morality of homosexual relations. I think gay sex is immoral. I think sex outside of marriage is immoral. I think abortion is immoral. I think divorce for the wrong reasons is immoral. I don't hate anybody who practices these things. I disagree with them. We are allowed by law to do these things in the US.

So Stalin's atheism had nothing to do with the atrocities he committed, but christianity had "everything" to do with the atrocities they committed? Com'on. Give me a break!
