Christian fundamentalists plot against the US Constitution

RE: Christian fundamentalists plot against the US Constitution
All you have to do is connect the dots. Mike Huckabee turned up in a huge show of support for Davis. He also publicly supported Josh Duggar, who actually is a legitimate member of the Christian Dominionist Movement.

Nope.  The numbers of atheists/non-religious people are growing at an astonishing rate in this country.  Just do a couple of searches, Pew reports, etc.   You see, people are learning how to THINK.    They communicate with people all over the globe.  They see scientific advances the day they occur.  Dominionism is dying.

(Isn't it funny that the word "minion" is in Dominionism?  There must be an etymological link . . . )

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of username changes, but I find that it would be prudent for you to change your name to TruePoe.

If the US has turned away from the Lord, then that must be what the Lord wants.

Or can we thwart his plans?

robvalue Wrote:It's a real shame that the phrase "separation of church and state" has caught on so much, because it heavily implies actual churches. What it really means is religion, not churches; any religion. Christianity, or any religion that happens to have churches, is not supposed to have any special treatment or endorsement over those that don't.

Good point, that's why I often say 'separation of government and religion' instead.

I sometimes think the rise of Christianism is at least partly causal in the rise of the Nones and the increase in atheism. They're driving their kids out of church in droves, and being out of church for a few years, escaping the echo chamber, often leads to a rethinking of beliefs.

Yeah, I think you're right.

Ironically, fundamentalists/creationists probably do us a favour in this regard as they are the ones most obviously believing false things.

But...but...what about "jesus?"

The stupid fuckers not only think Jesus wrote it, but that he came back and said "Corporations are people. Fuck the poor. I know I said to take care of them, but don't let them become dependent. If they can't afford food, they can take three full time jobs, or stop having sex and having so many damn children."
