That could very well be. It depends upon you, actually. If you are not interested then why bother?

I used to try, though.
I've tried praying to a God for months, but I never got any reply...
Maybe I'm not good in religious stuff, maybe I'm just not schizophrenic, I don't know...

Well, then finally we'll have an excellent test to identify real gods from phoney ones.

Hmmm . . . I don't think it really works that way. Praying for something that falls within the will of God is necessary. Praying for a football game isn't. Praying for knowledge is cool, but only if you are willing to actually look for it, and are open to it. Praying in the name of Jehovah, through Jesus Christ is the only way to do it, otherwise you might as well pray to those phony gods. Removing of idols, and spiritism etc. is important.

The apostle Paul advised that Christians avoid spiritism. The Greek word he used for spiritism is pharmakia, from which we get our English word pharmacy. Basically it means drug use. Using drugs weakens you spiritually to being influenced by wicked spirits - demons.

Thus primitive people to this day will use drugs to gain access the spirit world.

Praying under the influence won't work.

I have never been under the influence of any drugs when I prayed.

Jesus taught the right way to pray. It goes something like this:

Yo, god! Who ain't fucking here, and who's name I'm not even allowed to say.
Hurry the fuck up and put an end to this shit already!
Feed me, bitch! And let me slide just like everybody else gets over on me all the time.
Quit pissing me off and putting nice stuff in front of me I can't have and then rubbing my nose in it.
And don't let nobody else fuck with me, neither!
I mean, you got everything and I got nothing, and it's always gonna be that way.
Fuck it.

RE: Responding to the Challenge
Praying is bullshit.

Give a man a fish, and he'll have food for one day.
Learn a man how to fish, and he'll have food for the rest of his life.
Learn a man how to pray for fish and he'll die of starvation.

I've heard a different version of that:

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime.
Give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish.

Ok Daystar, fine. Please enlighten me and show me the ways of the forc.... oops sorry, wrong fantasy, post the 'correct way' to pray here for all to see and I'll recommend all takers of the challenge use the "Daystar approved" method of prayer. Ok?

Are you willing to take the challenge?
I used to tell a lot of religious jokes. Not any more, I'm a registered sects offender.

He's talking about "The Lard's Prayer," which I already paraphrased above. You're not supposed to ask for anything except forgiveness, and daily bread, and that god gets his way, and oh god please let me suck your cock! So if you asked for money or for your child to get well and you didn't get it, well you weren't supposed to ask for that stuff. You prayed wrong. Convenient, isn't it?

Your post would have better influence if you left out the 'suck your cock' part. [Image: rotz.gif]

Oh ok. I get it. So, when I pray to Hubert the talking Koi and I ask only for forgiveness and daily bread and that he gets his way and if I can suck his....( D'oh![Image: cringe.gif])...that he gets his way, then ANYTHING that happens, good or bad, I get bread or go hungry, I have a good walk or stub my toe... all can be attributed to an 'answered' prayer by Hubert the talking Koi fish? [Image: eek7.gif]

That can't be right. Is that what you're advocating Daystar?
