no, rather he saves you from the punishment you rightfully deserve. He makes you a child of God, and you inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. You don't do anything because he did everything. Believe on Him and you will be saved.
But according to your own mythology we're all the children of god. After all, he supposedly created us.
Anyway, I was once a Christian so, according to a number of Christian doctrines, once saved, always saved.
