Reinstalling Windows is probably the best way. If you don't have an installation disk, contact the company you bought it from, as they probably have one. If it's a Dell, here you go: https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/...N130027/EN
Try the "Operating system restore" on that page. Your laptop should be able to restore / reinstall the OS itself. 
Evie, just start it in safe mode and let it sit overnight.
If it's bsod in the morning, then you have a hardware failure. 1) heat. Open notebook up, check to see is cpu block is not covered in dust, also check fan is working. 2) come back when you finish step 1. 3)

The first 2 BSOD were very close together, only a couple of hours a part.
But it's been like a day now since I've been using the shoebox instead of my bed to rest the laptop. No BSOD since yet, good news I reckon

I have remembered, on both occasions I was using Youtube, AF and FB. That's all.
I might be able to help a little cuz I kinda help people with computer problems for a living.
 In my experience the most common cause of bluescreens is a damaged/faulty RAM stick. I don't know if you already tried this but you should run the program Memtest86 (http://www.memtest.org/) to see if your RAM is ok.
Cool - how do I run/download it? I can only find info on it on that site... not how to use it hmm
