Muslim thinks that suffering happens to muslims because Allah is testing their faith

It seems to me they have very little choice, unless they are with enlightened/progressive Muslims. I imagine their only choice is to flee, being able to take little with them. Their confidence is probably too badly dented to even try.

The Bible has a good story about how a woman can even the score with any man.

In Judges 5:24-27 (MSG) it describes how the woman Jael killed the enemy general Sisera by being nice to him and then driving a tent peg through his head with a hammer.

"24-27 Most blessed of all women is Jael,
    wife of Heber the Kenite,
    most blessed of homemaking women.
He asked for water,
    she brought milk;
In a handsome bowl,
    she offered cream.
She grabbed a tent peg in her left hand,
    with her right hand she seized a hammer.
She hammered Sisera, she smashed his head,
    she drove a hole through his temple.
He slumped at her feet. He fell. He sprawled.
    He slumped at her feet. He fell.
    Slumped. Fallen. Dead."

As H.L. Mencken wrote in 1926 = "The great masses of men, though theoretically free, are seen to submit supinely to oppression and exploitation of a hundred abhorrent sorts. Have they no means of resistance? Obviously they have. The worst tyrant, even under democratic plutocracy, has but one throat to slit. The moment the majority decided to overthrow him he would be overthrown. But the majority lacks the resolution; it cannot imagine taking the risks."

It's a rare individual who will take the risk to free himself from oppression on his or her own.  A common movie trope is where the bad guy runs roughshod over an entire town because no one has the guts to kill him.  Even his own gang members let him get away with killing his own gang members right before them.
