How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

But yes I understand the feeling and anyone who kicks a dog should go to jail for a very long time. Besides detainment they should have whatever form of punishment or rehabilitation required to make them less abusive... and they should only be let out when it's beyond reasonable doubt that they're actually never going to kick a dog again.

Anyway... how am I feeling right now... back to the relevance of the OP:

I don't really know how I'm feeling right now, in all honesty.

Even if punishment, as you put it, helped, I would advise against it. The state shouldn't be in the business of inflicting pain on its citizens, no matter the cause, with the only exception of having to obtain critical information, as in I would only agree with torturing terrorist suspects and such under very specific conditions(like if lives were at stake), but not anything else.

Meh my neighbor's dog showed up yesterday on my porch. We brough her in and fed her. I took her to the vet today on my lunch. She's a bit malnourished, worms, bruised ribs...she's 8 weeks old.

He comes over demanding her back this evening. I told him the vet told me someone kicked her pretty hard (she didn't actually say that for certain) and he goes on all nervously about how he never kicked her hard and it's none of my business. Calls me a bitch and repeats his demand. Heh. Nothing a little phone call to the police wouldn't fix. That guy is a piece of shit.

The reaction says it all tbh, that he was so ready to go on the defensive and start spewing vile names at you.

Some people don't need to be allowed to own pets.

@ EP

Yes suffering is bad especially needless suffering. My incredibly low opinion of you doesn't stop me agreeing with you here.

Feeling like when I'm told I'm awesome I believe it but when I'm not told I'm awesome I don't believe it. Many many friends have called me awesome and I'm like "really?" lol.

Yeah, I know that revenge breeds revenge. But I'm a dog guy -- the more I get to know people, the more I love dogs.

I dunno what the "/spasm" was about but... the more dogs I see the more I love them Smile

Hell, I totally love dogs I just used to be very afraid of them because I had some bad experiences as a child.

Getting over my fear of horses will be my biggest thing. One chased me when I was 3 years old and my dad had to jump over a fence with me... that is my earliest memory and greatest fear. Except abandonment. My biggest fear is abandonment. Both because my dad once threatened to kick me out the house as soon as I was 16 over a petty argument (and obviously I had nowhere else to live and was only 15 at the time) and also because I was almost left on a train to London by myself when I was 9 years old. A complete stranger had to force the doors open. My whole family and my grandma forgot I existed. Also: I didn't leave the house on my own without my family until I was 19 years old. Yes 19. All these things are gonna make me very attached to people and afraid of abandonment I think. Right? Not normal right LOL

Is it normal to like some dogs but not others?

They do have different personalities, some are just far too energetic and loud for my liking and those types get on my nerves. I find Jack Russells to be one of the worst breeds for having that kind of temperament.

I also prefer big dogs, not those silly little rats. If it does those pathetic yips instead of barking, it's too small.
