How's Everyone Feeling Right Meow?

Very uncomfortable at the moment. I just need time. I'm going back into my shell for awhile. But I'll be all right in the end. I always am.

I just learned that my second daughter's diagnosis of MS is confirmed. It runs on my side of the family. My paternal grandfather had it, as does one of my aunts. I had hoped for the best, despite suspecting the worst after first hearing of her symptoms.
Fuck. She gave birth to her third child earlier this year and had passed her boards to be a licensed nurse practitioner only a month ago. Now this. All I can say is that my kid's a fighter and tough as hell. She's certainly handling the news better than me and rejects any words of pity or displays of sadness. She plans to participate in a half-marathon in September and is determined to make the most of everything before the worst of it sets in. I admire her spirit. 
I feel like crap.
Slept about two hours last night prepping for a 12 hour flight that will land at 8am their time. A few ZQuil pills before boarding and I should crash out and be golden. And if things go really bad on the flight, I should be able to sleep through most of the plunge back to earth. My sympathies to her, bud -- not that she'd want to hear it, lol. No doubt you and Mom had a lot to do with her fighting spirit, and no doubt y'all will be there to help her too.
