This is heart wrenching.  And the worst of it is:  those at the far left will scream for the eradication of all firearms.  Those on the extreme right with claim that the only solution is to arm everyone.  Those in the centre will call for tighter restrictions on who has access to firearms.  And after all the piss-fights and the breast beating and the flag waving...nothing will change.  In a week or a month or a year, the scene will be repeated again.  And again.  And again.  All because America as a whole has a huge, throbbing boner for guns, and any attempts to make sure they stay out of the hands of dangerous, unstable people is viewed as 'unpatriotic'.

Fuck.  How do you LIVE like this??

Now I defy you to show me where in that statement I said "ban all guns".......Nobody said take away all guns, but we do have a flooded market and you are right we do have a huge boner for guns, THAT is the worst part, far too many people worship guns as if the gun itself was a human with rights.

The rampage that claimed at least 14 lives in San Bernardino, Calif., isn't today's first mass shooting. Here’s news you probably missed: A gunman in Savannah, Ga., shot four people early Wednesday, killing a woman and injuring three men.

Police haven’t arrested a suspect, said Eunicia Baker, spokesperson for the Savannah Chatham Police Department. They also haven’t released the names of the victims. The local news media barely acknowledged the murder: One local television station covered it in three paragraphs.

And the world spun on.

Because, the "far left" is a hoax. There are not enough people that literally want to remove all guns, nobody thinks that is practical even if I wanted to. Saying "far left" is as nutty as Trump thinking he can deport 11 million people. Again NOBODY is saying take away all guns. THAT is my point and falling for the right's code language gives them that fear to hide behind.

We can make less, make them harder to get so that the wrong people don't get them and yes, you don't need a spray weapon or huge clips. AGAIN nothing in that last sentence says " no guns at all".

This is fucking scary. There is literally no place that is safe from the derranged, deluded, psychopathic, crazed people that roam the earth. Makes me just want to stay inside forever. That's not going to happen, obviously, but just knowing that shootings just seem to be increasing all the time, makes me not want to live on this planet anymore.

If it weren't for the fact that I have to type out more notes in school tonight, I wouldn't be going in at all.

Are they really increasing or has it become such a spotlit issue that the media is now covering it more and more?

There has been more mass shootings in the country as of today in this year than there has been days in the year as of today.  So it averages at least one mass shooting per day.

This is supposed to be a case of workplace violence.  One of the shooters worked there or had ties to the conference center.

Another shooting. This time at a Texas Women's center.

In the midst of the San Bernardino mass shooting that killed at least 14 people and injured at least 14 more, we have reports of another shooting death. This one is at another medical facility, Clinica Hispana, which is a women’s clinic in Houston, Texas.Houston police have confirmed one death but have not confirmed if the dead is a victim or suspect.

So wait, another woman's heath clinic was shot up as well?  Who said in the other thread that anti-abortion violence hadn't happened in decades?  So untrue, it just isn't covered.
