Hello.
I'm a brand new member, and I'm trying to find a place to discuss my antitheist views.
Like many others i'm sure, I find that religion serves no positive purpose in the world, a force for evil in the world. A straight jacket on all of humanity.
So, a little bit about myself. I'm young, 25 years old and I have three children with my partner of 8 years. I'm an artist, who works freelance as a graphic designer for many different people and companies. I make an okay living, as i'm still working my way up. I'm also an avid PC gamer, which I have little time for at the moment.
I've been on many forums over the years, but none that are dedicated atheist forums. I've always clashed against people who were religious, and I always found that I could never win an argument, due to the intense naivety and sheer blind faith of some people. I sometimes find it hard to have an intelligent, rational discussion, as I live in a town with a large religious community. We have a salvation army building, numerous churches, a mosque and many other religious 'organisations'. Our town, like much of the UK at the moment, has a hurt-feelings, pretend persecution scope about it. Give any rational argument against a god or religion at all, and they plead that they're 'offended' or that I'm being too edgy or extreme for them.
