The best Christmas gift I ever received wasn't the present itself, but the card that accompanied it...with a handwritten expression of deep and abiding love.
Worst gift has got to be fruitcake or summer sausage.

When I was deployed for Desert Storm, my mom sent me a Christmas box with a sweater, a Cowboys jacket, and the uncut edition of Stephen King's The Stand. The touch of home was sweet beyond words.

step 1. cut hole in side of box.
step 2. wrap up box
step 3. stuff your junk inside of box
step 4. give box to someone
step 5. enjoy the awkward yet funny moment.

Sounds like a variation on the dreaded summer sausage.

Best present: either a Nintendo Wii or my first laptop.
Worst present: Err... going waaaaaay back, I was given this weird little...statue...thing of a jack-in-the-box by a family friend. To this day I have no idea why they thought an 8 year old would get anything out of it, but I guess it's the thought that counts, or summink.

Since my birthday is close to Christmas, the wife usually buys me something a bit dearer to cover both.
This year (for the gamers out there), I replaced my crappy old mouse and keyboard and got:
the Logitech G910 keyboard (RGB), the Razer firefly RGB mouse pad and a cooler master "Recon" programmable RGB mouse.
I'm in bling heaven!
(I did want 3.50 diff gears for the 9 inch for the mustang (now that I've overdrive in the tranny), but it was $650, so she promptly said "forget it!")
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
