Good Times at End Times

RE: Good Times at End Times
Before you post any other threads, not that you cant now, but some advice.

1. Treat everyone here as individuals, we are not into the same things such as politics or how we should deal with religious claims. We are very diverse. We don't always agree, or even like each other all the time.

2. If you make an argument, understand that many here are veterans at debate and or have very detailed knowledge of science and religious arguments. Some more than others, but if you've made the argument know that we have more likely than not run into it somewhere else either on this website or another.

3. Don't take things personally. This is about the claims you make, not your human rights.

4. Many of us were former believers, and most of us still have family and friends and co workers who still to some degree grater or smaller, believe in all sorts of religions. We are not out to get you.

G'day! We have quite a few Aussies here, though the bulk of the membership is from the USA or Europe.

Greetings from the American "Bible Belt".
A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost

I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.

I'm in my home state of Louisiana, visiting family for the holidays, but I live in southeastern Missouri, and am about to move to Kansas City, Missouri.

I agree that an end will eventually happen to humans and then all life and then the planet and sun.

But just not a mythological gap answer based on an old book.

Humans could pollute or nuke ourselves back into a stone age or go extinct by our own actions.

But no, there is no Allah or Yahweh or God or Vishnu pulling the strings to the planet or humans.

The myths of religions about beginning of life and the end of life are not in one holy tradition, worldwide throughout history humans made separate myths about all that.

Science is the only thing telling us what our planet is doing and what we are doing to the planet. Science is the only thing that explains evolution and the history of our planet. Science is the only thing that explains the future of the sun and our solar system.

Welcome.

Good times?
What makes you think you've picked the correct god to worship out of the thousands out there?
Can billions of Muslims and Buddhists be wrong?
You know that all the gods can't be the one true god, but they can all be false gods.

You didn't have a choice in which god you believe in.
That decision was made by by your ethnicity and geography.

We're here because we won't be told which god to believe in as you have.
Does that make us brave or stupid?
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.

I believe in Rob.

Welcome.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

"I don't hang around with mostly men because I'm gay. It's because men are better than women. Better trained, better equipped...better. Just better! I'm not gay."

For context, this is the previous verse:

"Hi Jesus" -robvalue

Welcome.
So you do not believe in anything? What about air?

Air is a Christian lie designed to indoctrinate people into believing in water with the sole purpose of peddling the myth of Jesus' baptism.
