Hi Guys, thought to swing by and wish everyone a very happy 2016. I have been going through the forum, post-by-post and it is so interesting. I have a feeling that we (me and my family) were not taught much about "the other side of the coin", as to say.

Indeed, some insular environments paint atheism as being either needlessly complex, or something else entirely.

I respect that you're making the effort to learn! The most important point, I think, is that atheists are individuals who just happen to not believe a certain claim.
