That is off their latest album. It's an album that, for me at least, to some degree at some ends, got better the more I listened to it. I have probably listened to that album about 50 times by now, not exaggerating. Glad you like it!

If you are anything like me, you need new music fairly regularly. I listen to the same stuff a lot, but I try and keep up to date with the artists I like. Luckily I like enough artists to where there is usually something new coming out by one of the artists I like fairly regularly. The thing is, I usually listen to the same song(s)/album for a while and then when something new comes out, I barely touch it again. Not a hard rule because I do go back to stuff, but I generally get pretty saturated with the music I do listen too, which requires new music. Latest album I have enjoyed was Godsmack's When Legends Rise.

“If love is a crime, I’m willing to be haunted”. This was the music I heard in Nigeria a few years back.

Currently listening to Phil Collins' Singles. A bit miffed that this one didn't count as one of his singles: (WARNING: if you hate Phil Collins, you may have to rethink that, as this is him being the most awesome he's been this side of "In the Air Tonight.")

And the bigger revelation: I have somehow managed to mix these two songs of his in my mind for the last decade or so and didn't know that this:

was a different song from this:

I think the lyrics from "One More Night" somehow merged with the production of "Two Hearts."

It can be tempting to just write it off as evidence that Phil Collins is overrated (to be fair, I'm not one of the generation who got sick of him being goddam EVERYWHERE in the late 80s and early 90s, so I think he's managed to warp around to being underrated), but even more universally beloved artists have even more indistinguishable songs; How many of the Ramones' early songs sound similar to "Blitzkrieg Bop", with a different set of lyrics and maybe a different sense of when to change the IV and V chords? And Hell, Hank Williams had no less than three songs with the exact same chord changes and musical and lyrical structure: "Move it on Over," "I'm a Long Gone Daddy," and "Mind Your Own Business." And they were all Top Ten hits! Then again, "Long Gone Daddy" is a little different from "Move it On Over."

Haven't heard this song in a very long time but it just popped into my head today for some unknown reason. Probably has something to do with my interpretation of what the song means to me and that fitting with how I feel about being on this site.

This is off my least favorite Mastodon album (one of my favorite bands) but I just kinda got the urge to listen to this album all the sudden. I think this album is an acquired taste that I have historically not had much desire for, but that may be changing.
