A couple years ago my brother introduced me to the power metal genre through the band Gloryhammer, and I've been hooked since. There are dozens of bands/albums in my regular rotation and I keep finding more power metal stuff to listen to all the time. A few of my favorites below. Aside from that, Two Steps from Hell has been a staple for me for almost a decade now and never gets old.
Gloryhammer: Rise of the Chaos Wizards (My introduction to power metal. This whole album is really silly/cheesy but awesome) Unleash the Archers: Awakening (fantastic female lead vocalist and great album) Sonata Arctica: White Pearl Black Oceans (My favorite song by one of my favorite bands) Another one of my favorites RE: Music You're Listening To:

Every morning. For a week. It was weird. I like the song, though, so I wasn't complaining. Crank it, sit in the car until it was over, then go into the office.

I knew they had a professional relationship, but I didn't know that. . .
Been listening to this Black Crowes cover of a Velvet Underground song:
