I'm curious, what do think of this stuff? Christianity must seem weird and alien to you. Hell, I grew up Christian in a Christian culture yet even I think this stuff is weird. I still don't understand the different between demons, angels, and lesser gods. They're just all lesser gods like in Roman paganism. How is Christianity not monolatrism is beyond me.

"Demons" is another one of those words which has entered our language as a very useful metaphor, but a metaphor for something that isn't real in the first place.

Such as, "He overcame his personal demons."

If you want to know what a demon in action would look like:

I was raised Christian so it's all pretty familiar.

But what gets me is this joker claims he has no knowledge of the specifics of God (agnostic), yet all his questions and arguments come out of the Christian playbook. Wtf?

Wow! I haven't been paying much attention to him. That is weird.

Boru

There ya go, getting all technical and correct on me. What about other group names that may work for angels or demons?

Rookery, hoard, gang, mob, litter, flock, clowder, bevy, ...........
I don't have an anger problem, I have an idiot problem.

RE: A query on Demons
In Islam, demons go to hell just like humans; as residents, not keepers.
The torturers are angels.

(Sura 74 verse 31 ) And We have not made the keepers of the Fire except angels. And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity.

The way demons hurt humans, is by whispering sins to our hearts only.
Just like suicide bombers, they're only trying to drag humans with them into the abyss.
Their specie has believers too who would go to paradise.

People gave demons & Satan more credit than they deserve. It's a fun idea when it's in a "the exorcist"-like-fashion.
