I was amused at peoples' bizarre and contradictory understandings of me ^_^ Some consider me a cheap whore, others consider me a cynical lover. I think they're all just missing the point. I'm sexy, and I take pills for it. I'll stop teasing when you pay me. I hope to make more of myself than a sex worker... but if I delay too much longer that's all that will put food on my table outside of begging and common thievery. Though I might do that too. In this damn society you've got to have something to get something... and I'm afraid my mildly impressive creative talents won't be selling to anyone anytime soon (though I will try). What's worse is that it is all volunteer (including many people who want me to (help) make costumes for them). At best I'm looking at buying fabrics from a thrift shop (many of them pre-formed) and selling them in arranged ensembles for double what the materials cost me, plus a small sum for any custom work someone would like done on it. My largest problems are these: where would I display my already-made costumes, take requests, and store my materials? How would I advertise outside of the GLBTQ community, especially during such busy holiday periods as halloween and christmas where most of such sales are made. How could I possibly 'make it' on a sporadic salary of less than minimum wage, perhaps not even half that? Tough concerns. I'll have to think on them, but in the meantime I intend to make costumes to last (Mostly they fall apart after I take them off and remove their 'safety pins'). Means I've got to start sewing (though in the interest of creating custom fits, I should really avoid sewing some things). My (gay) brother and his wife are divorcing and rarely are home together. Might be able to make use of some of the underused portions of their room/the house to store my complete costumes in the future. At least a girl could hope, right?  Best case: a fellow designer/artist moves in when they move out. How unfortunately unlikely  I'm stuck here (in this general area) for the next four years... any and all boons are welcome.And banned for making me ramble...
