Oh well, you obviously subscribe to the Holy Colander so you're safe. It's those guys who say he was fried in oil that get my goat.

Fucking heretics.
I don't want your preachments, nor do I care for having feelings ("that which you fear") imputed to me. I don't know where you learnt your manners, but you're being rude.
Welcome, I suppose. Let's hope you're more courteous than this first impression indicates. RE: hi everyone

I don't believe that all Muslims are terrorists, or hate Americans (where I am) or hate non-believers. I understand that there are many different sects - just like there are many different Christian sects. Some are peace-loving, some are not. I'm all for peace between people, and sharing information that can help us understand each other and our world. So we will get along just fine, UNLESS you try to tell me why I should believe the same things you believe. Then we'll have a problem.
Welcome to AF!

This is easily refuted by the idea of memes. Memes (sticky ideas which get passed down from one generation to the next) have to be of certain quality in order to survive. Complexity and obscurity is, alas, not one of those qualities. Memes have to be clear and compelling. There's little room for nuance. The reality of Islam is that (a) it is a very virulent and persistent meme and (b) for that to happen the ideology of Islam must be of a certain nature with inbuilt properties that promote its spread. And here are those properties: The Terrifying Brilliance of the Islamic Memeplex http://www.citizenwarrior.com/2007/10/te...lamic.html ![]()
Welcome, but our problem is neither the Quraan nor the prophet Muhammad عليه الصلاة والسلام . The problem is Muslims. For almost a decade Muslims have been raging about Salman Rushdi writing a book and raging about that retarded priest wanting to burn a copy of the quraan. When the world decided enough was enough and wanted to start to act suddenly muslims are trying to display themselves as peace lovers.
There are 0 countries with Muslim majority and are doing well at the same time, 0, none, I used to say Turkey is a good Muslim country, but that did not last. Now it's back to the medieval roots. Also, I live in the heart of the middle east, and me and my friends and family are even more scared that the westerners from you. A lifetime of living in the lands of Islam(technically the land of Lebanon and Syria were conquered by Islam, your real lands are only Saudi Arabia) only made us more bigoted than being complete strangers!
I would say that Iran and Bosnia are two examples of countries where Muslims and non Muslims live in coexistence peacefully and have all the freedom they can have
