What are you all playing right now?
RE: What are you all playing right now?
Only Aoe2 at the moment... and having fun with making my own scenarios/maps... but I have a question for anyone who knows anything about that; though this is pretty obscure thing to ask and I doubt many people will know what I'm talking about but don't ask don't get, so on the offchance anyone here can help me out, it would be much appreciated Smile

I'm looking to use 'random map scripting' to make a map similar to 'fatslob nothing' - as was shown on t90Official's twitch/YouTube channel recently. The point is the map contains non-rescuable 'gaia' walls distributed in mass randomly across the whole map, that thus box all players in and require being battered down with rams etc. With a rms script I can get the right distribution of gaia walls, but they do not behave as they do in the fatslob nothing map; ie in mine they turn the colour of the first human player to come in range of them... that is they get 'rescued' as usually happens for gaia objects like sheep etc... so I'm curious if anyone knows how to get the fatslob effect; whereby they would stay gaia grey and thus not change ownership regardless of what units came near? Any help here would be much appreciated even if it's just a nudge in the right direction. Thanks Smile

The only 'game' I play is this mindless thing called Hopper Beetle... it's strangely addictive and I have absolutely no excuse. I've never really liked playing video games, and I suspect it's because my dad absolutely hates them, and he never buys any equipment that could actually facilitate playing. I used to go to my cousin's house every day and stay there for hours playing GTA, but that was probably eight years ago.

I’m still playing Ascension: Rise of the Godslayer. It’s an amazing deck building game by some of the people who made Magic the Gathering. I’m looking for people to play on IOS! The base set is free. When I say deck building, I mean the actual game itself is about building a deck. It’s not a collectible card game, both players start with the same 10 cards every game so it’s always fair. The expansions are just to add variety but aren’t required to play.

One of my favourite game Enyo got an update with 3 new enemies! A turtle with a ring on its back that can be hooked onto, a monkey in white underpants who drops barrels, and a bastard little frog thing with a hammer. They also added another play mode.

I’ve also started playing Shadowverse, a CCG which directly rips of hearthstone, but takes it in some interesting new directions. It’s good! You evolve creatures, and the player who goes second gets to do this 3 times while the first player only 2. It’s a cool way of evening out the advantage of playing first.

Been playing a lot of BO4 this weekend. They did a pretty good job with this one. The maps and abilities punish campers which is well done in my book. They included 3 different zombies maps as well. I've tried the simpler of the three and unfortunately it crashed both times. Content is good but it appears there is a bug out there.

Immersing myself back into Witcher 3, trying to get all the quests done. The failed ones are annoying, but I can't be arsed to reload a prior save just to get them completed.

Hey Kit, one last thing. I've found out now and tried it that you can play 'Playground: Squads' mode of Fortnite Battle Royale with the option 'Don't Fill'... which means that contrary to the default of 'Fill', the matchmaking service that sets up a game won't try and fill up your squad to its maximum of four players with random people. This means that you can actually play alone or just with a few friends (up to three) rather than having random trolls thrown into the mix.

So this mode is great for solo practicing learning the controls and the less combat-focused skills of the game, such as building and editing... and now after learning about the "Don't Fill' option, being able to do that without harassment from other random players... but when solo the one thing you can't practice that much in this mode is aiming... because PS4 uses 'aim assist' (it can be turned off but is not advised for console players) which means basically that the aiming crosshairs slow down when they move over a person in the game and speed up again for anything else. So IOW if you're playing solo playground mode you won't get to practice aiming with aim assist because there are no other players in the game, but if you play with a training partner/s, you can.

So this mode lasts one hour and the storm closes in to the centre of the map starting at 55 minutes, to end the game. So you have those first fifty-five minutes to do whatever you want with your 'squad mates', including changing teams at will. You respawn automatically on death in this game (except when dying to the storm... which is permanent and is used to end the game and see who truly is last man standing... though it means less in this mode).

I know you said you didn't want to play Fortnite PvP but what about Playground mode as I've described? That would allow our squad - ie you and me and maybe Hammy or Alpha - to go head to head, or work together, chopping and changing teams as much as we want over the hour long course of the game... all the time able to talk to each other over the headsets/mics. We could make up any games/objectives in that time.. such as free for alls stalking each other over the map, or fort battles where we maybe take it in turns to build and defend a fort against the other... the possibilities are endless for games to design. So what do you think? You don't need a PS+ account for this so this would be a way for us to play together, and talk - if you want, without the pressure of the normal hundred player PvP modes of Battle Royale.

I've gone back to "The Witcher Enhanced Edition." Lost all my game saves when I built the new PC and have been procrastinating about starting over. Still a long way to go before I get to "The Witcher III." Sad

I was thrilled when they released the special edition, until I played it and found that the mod community had done a better job enhancing the game than the game developers did. Sad At least I didn't have to pay for it since I purchased the game and all the expansions before it was released. Smile

World of Warcraft, Warriors and Heroes, Layton's Mystery Journey, and The Trail. My wife and I play WoW together. All we've been doing in WoW for the last three weeks is grinding for Argussian Reach reputation so we can create Void Elves.
