When was the first time you realized you were obsolete?

There comes a time in everyone's life when s/he realizes that s/he has become obsolete in accordance with modern culture.

When was that time for you?  If you have not yet experienced it, you will soon enough.

For me, it was about six years ago.  I realized that I was halfway through my life cycle and that the youth of this country was not becoming smarter.

Its a statistical fact that the next generation on average has a higher IQ than the previous generation. This is generally true across the board.
In all likelihood my snot nosed brat of a nephew is going to grow up to be much smarter than I could ever be. He thinks PewDiePie is a genius.
This galls me no end.

I've never felt obsolete. 
Don't look forward to it, and hope I never do. Sounds like it sucks.

If I ever do, I'll be sure to take some measure to bolster my sense of freshness and significance: Take a class/learn something new, buy new tits, take up a new hobby or interest.
