The Immorality of God - The Canaanites
RE: The Immorality of God - The Canaanites
Well of course the Canaanites were evil - they were an incompatible culture to the people who coveted their land - whoops, there goes Commandment X!

Athrock, you really do appear to be a very immature excuse for a human being to be so smug in your assessment of people who you never even met!

NEWSFLASH: when a group loses their land, their freedom, and their lives to an invading culture, this does not mean they deserved it for being evil. To the contrary, as is certain with the Phoenicians, they weren't evil and nasty enough to fight for their little patch of dirt.
Mr. Hanky loves you!

Remind me who made the Canaanites?

Who was watching while every single one of them, including babies, "turned evil"?

Who had the power to just make them all "good" without harming a hair on their head?

But no, just go kill them all. No other option really. Fucking evil babies. Making them good would violate their "free will", although they apparently don't have any if a baby is predetermined to be evil. Killing them doesn't violate their free will at all.

If you think slavery and genocide are OK as long as the correct voice in your head approves, why do you even need to cherry pick?

The voices in their heads... It's called schizophrenia or psychosis. Take your pick.

I can't stand self righteous idiots like you athrock. You mentioned somewhere that it's a long and painful process for atheists to become christians. Well no crap. It's called brainwashing and it's f*cking painful. You think you know so much. I was you once upon a time (passionate about my beliefs and my god, trying to convert people, etc), and it took me years to become an atheist, what with trying everything I could to "prove" that what the bible said was true, and hold onto everything I "knew". Sadly (THANKFULLY) nothing could make me believe this crap anymore. I went to bible college, I studied that damn book. Try as you might. There's no EVIDENCE FOR YOUR BOOK OR GOD. Just the fact that you need faith to believe this bullshit proves there's no LOGIC or REASON behind this religion. Or any other religion for that matter.

Now, go sit on your throne and judge your own people. How's that for an "emotional" response dickhead.
