Why the USA is a disgrace

Speaking of traveling, I can afford to travel the world because of the great lifestyle I have in the US. I live in a house so big that people unfamiliar with it get lost inside. I make more than a quarter of a million per year and live very comfortably.

How is this possible? Because in the US you can make a lot of money if you are smart and work hard at a career. It's the American Dream. I'm living it.

I don't think there is a term called the Australian Dream or any other country with the word dream after it.

The U.S has an economy that is based on war. In other words: without warfare, death & misery, the U.S would not have become what it is right now.

If you look carefully, Iraq was the most perfect example on how the American foreign policy operates :

1-Demonize somebody.
2-When the person is officially considered evil, invade them.
3-Destroy their country
4-Take the natural resources (like oil)
5-Offer the locals means of rebuilding the land that America destroyed (in exchange of money; of course) : offer them contracts that would benefit the U.S the most
6-Before you get out, make sure to spread hatred between different local factions within the country (Example : shia & sunna in Iraq), so a civil war can go on, and the U.S can benefit from selling weapons to both sides.

That's exactly what happened in Iraq, and in many other places.
That's war economy. And the regime in the U.S did learn to play it right.

That's the only part of your post that has some merit. The military industrial complex is a huge part of the economy. I'm not sure what would happen if the USA reduced their military spendings. The country could well face another huge recession. Something Eisenhower warned against in his last speech before handing over to Kennedy.

As for the rest of your post, it was a borderline criminal gang running the administration when the Iraq invasion happened. That's not the system, that was them having their own wellbeing in mind and lying to Americans and the world. The reason why they could get away with it was the US media toeing the line. I can well remember the difference between European and American coverage. The Europeans caught them at their lies from time to time. But that's not what Americans got to see. They saw the flashy patriotic war shows CNN, ABC and all the other networks presented.

Oh ffs....if you're gonna bash the US at least try to be factual. Our economy isn't based on war, our government spending is.

Our country -uses- it's great wealth to buy military toys, that's not the -source- of our wealth.  We lost money on Iraq, lost it.  We didn't make any money on Iraq, we will never make any money on Iraq.  Understand that, accept it, and incorporate it into your fairy tale.   Here are our top ten exports, from last year..you'll notice that war, death, and misery are not among them:

Quote:

  1. Machines, engines, pumps: US$219.8 billion (13.6% of total exports)

  2. Electronic equipment: $172.4 billion (10.6%)

  3. Oil: $155.6 billion (9.6%)

  4. Vehicles: $136 billion (8.4%)

  5. Aircraft, spacecraft: $125.2 billion (7.7%)

  6. Medical, technical equipment: $85 billion (5.2%)

  7. Gems, precious metals, coins: $64.1 billion (4%)

  8. Plastics: $63 billion (3.9%)

  9. Pharmaceuticals: $44 billion (2.7%)

  10. Organic chemicals: $42.3 billion (2.6%)
http://www.worldstopexports.com/united-s...0-exports/

Yeah, fuck america, the world doesn't need any of those trillions of dollars in exported productivity. They don't need our further trillions in imports either (or all of the aid that great wealth allows us to allocate), I'm sure there's somebody else out there who wants to buy all the worlds bric and brac and bullshit......

You, particularly, wouldn't know wtf to do without us Ayatollah. How would you explain the failure of your ideological set, how will you own up to the hatreds they have for each other, and their inability to comport themselves in a fashion befitting first world nations or citizens? How would you explain evil..... in the absence of your favorite and greatest satan?

abaris

The Obama administration has kept going on footsteps of Bush, and actually caused more wars than ever. If Bush is tainted with Iraq, Obama is tainted with ISIS.

this gang includes democrats & republicans, despite the winning party it's always the same. Always.

Rhythm

'Merica.. hell yeah ! kick ass !!

We were Jesus save me ? blue jean baby ? born in the USA ????????
Ah..A little messed up but you're all alright ?

Sorry xD but the song is kickass for real, despite my dislike of nationalism and people who get so exited about their race, but I thought it fits the situation.
ummm and I disagree with Kenny though, some American kids are SO MESSED UP, they're not doing alright at all, I mean you saw the torture pictures of  Abu Ghuraib, right ?

But back to the topic at hand.

Chris puts it pretty much straight:

War was always the reset button that America used to keep the economy going.
The foreign policy, didn't change since WW2.

Keep listening to Mainstream Media; the same media that lied to you once and told you about the imaginary weapons of mass distructions that Saddam has, the same media that fooled Americans and made them think that the Iraq war is related to 9/11. Sending "American kids" to die in the front line, losing their limbs, because of a HOAX.

But ironically, you have no problem in listening to them again, despite taking you for a fool and lying to you in the face !
Oh I forgot..you were Jesus save me..blue jean baby..born in the USA
A little messed up but you're all alright..

I'm not a nationalist. But many Arabs have sold themselves to the USA, so how does that relates to me, technically ?
and on "America lost a lot in Iraq" ? you can't be serious xD check the weapon deals America made after the invasion.

Once you break free from the nationalistic sick mentality that loathed so many people, the more would you be able to see clearly.

Well I'll be damned...the only reason I'd never realized how shitty the US was...was on account of my never having heard Kenny Chesney sing.  In light of that, Allah hu akbar..down with the great satan!?

Great, non of my points answered.

Hey, my musical taste is strange. I love listening to country music sometimes.
As for the great Satan, don't worry. He resides in Saudi Arabia.

Atlas, you didn't make any points.  You linked a country song and armageddon porn, with some rant text for filler.  That said, I don't know why you're being so hostile.  Kenny Chesney's singing convinced me that america was the great satan.  I joined your club.

So I can assume that you didn't understand.

The song, along with the first portion of my comment, was a reference to your nationalistic behavior, that pushes you to lie, and be at peace with it with no problems at all. Nationalistic as in, defending your country (in the right and the wrong), to the last breath.

Quote:We didn't make any money on Iraq, we will never make any money on Iraq

And in reality :

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/...31119.html

Your own government contradicts you.

Quote:And Iraq's oil reserves, the third largest in the world, with an estimated 115 billion barrels waiting to be extracted, are a prize worth having. As Vice-President Dick Cheney noted in 1999, when he was still running Halliburton, an oil services company, the Middle East is the key to preventing the world running out of oil.

Quote:or PSAs, oil majors such as BP and Shell in Britain, and Exxon and Chevron in the US, would be able to sign deals of up to 30 years to extract Iraq's oil.

So IDK if you can't read, or is it nationalism eating your brain up.
