OFC, arming teachers is stupid regardless of whether or not non-lethal means are available.

Yep, but I'm sure Mrs. Llewellyn, my 8th grade English teacher would have Rambo'd with the best of them, despite getting woozy when there was a picture of a gun in a book.

Weakness of wit leads to fear, and fear leads to anger. Then anger leads to the posting of ridiculous strawman arguments.
There are no teachers bringing guns into schools, but there are now out of necessity some armed police marshalls, and more of them know how to behave around children than not.

There are no teachers bringing guns into schools, but there are now out of necessity some armed police marshalls, and more of them know how to behave around children than not. I'm glad you saw what he did, but I'm not glad you didn't see it when you did it as well in the past...

There are people advocating teachers pack guns in schools. At least one state has a program going on that right now. It's not a strawman argument, it's people not paying attention.

So, perhaps this is where two sides of a debate meet? Pro gun, anti gun, we both agree that arming teachers is a phenomenally stupid idea. My guess, is that it comes from people who have -alot- invested into phenomenally stupid ideas.
