3) You have such a compelling personality, Rob. I think you could gain a modest following and make a little coin. (Emphasis mine)
Patreon comes to mind.

YouTube.
When you gain enough followers, you can turn on the ad revenue. You'll get money per unique ad view. YouTubers like PewDiePie or Zoella Sugg make hundreds of thousands (PewDiePie makes millions, actually. That comes with the terrritory when you have 40+ mil subs and upload every day.)

Yes, but Patreon works far better for youtubers that don't have that many viewers. If you put out really good content, you're going to make some money even if you're not famous. Take AIU for example. The guy has only 30 thousand subscribers but he makes 1,600 $/month through Patreon alone. It's a start.

Hey rob, I think the potential is there . My advice to you would be to plan your content and delivery schedule a looooong way in advance. If you're planning monthly releases, you'll need fewer vids than if you go weekly but set the expectations from the start and have the content up your sleeve to back it up. That's where I've seen many youtubers fall down: they start well with a few unique vids but are unable to either maintain it or reinvent themselves when they need to adapt. Gogreen18 (Laci Green) is a great example of how to do it right.
Sum ergo sum

I haven't watched too many of your videos.
From what I have seen I didn't find the content that interesting or funny. I did watch the one you did about the mining thing, it wasn't too boring. The thing about the topic of atheism is that a lot of the topics have probably been done already by already established you tubers
Most of the you tubers I watch aren't that funny though but they do pick interesting topics and they condense them to bite size clearly presented bits.
I watched loads and loads of Matt santoro vids and his jokes are shockingly bad, but interesting stuff you can listen to when bored. I watched the seriusly strange series I think that was by rob dyke and I loved it, his jokes are bad, and I'm sure all he does is search Wikipedia for random strange stuff, but it's just nicely presented clearly spoken and does the job.
The main thing is the presentation, editing and the topics.
Think about what you're wearing, the back ground, and if the topic you're taking about has gone on for too long.
You definitely have a good voice for it, you have the stereotypical posh southern English accent, I sound like a northern monkey and no Americans would understand me, I think they would understand you.

It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

If I understand him as a person that barely ever spoke much English in real life circumstances, Americans can as well.

It's 5:49 am and I'm in a rush. But this is a great thread. I like YouTubers quite a bit. It started, and remains mainly with, J-vloggers (folks from the English-speaking world who have moved to Japan and vlog about daily life and other things).
So, at this point, I have watched only two videos thus far. One where you were displaying your martial arts. Somebody thought you were in your pajamas, but you xplained that that was just what you normally wear for MA.
Now, I am watching "Orange Reply". Overall, I really, really enjoy your tone and demeanor. You are audible, but don't try to get loud and silly like a YouTube version of Bobcat Goldthwaite.
You could employ a graphical/musical opening...or not. They can really add polish to a video...or they can ruin it.
That's more than I have time for now, but I'll revisit this.
Some of my favorite YouTubers whom you may or may not learn from as far as presentation are:

Yeh I agree with steel curtain, you should look at other youtubes and emulate the style you feel most comfortable with.
Some videos are edited sooo fucking much, like every word is followed by a cut in the video then another word then a cut in the video.
Laci Green and Matt Santoro do this a lot. Other ones like yo elliot, the hodge twins, stefan molyneux, they're pretty much free flowing.
It might sound strange but now I think about it even though I do like listening to youtubers, every single one of them I can think of I find annoying.
Laci Green and Matt Sontoro--- Annoyingly happy in every video, just looks fake.
Stefan Molyneux----- Arrogant and condescending as fuck.
Rob Dyke from seriously strange ------ Tells no jokes, just reads out strange stories from wikipedia while wearing a suit and with some editing effects.
Hodge Twins------- Take too long to get to the fucking point, talk way too slow and pull stupid faces constantly.
Yo elliot----- He's not that annoying to me actually, some people are pissed off because they think he sold out or something though, I forgot why though.

Yes he is very understandable.

All I can say is that I like your delivery.
