Richard Dawkins suffers stroke.

RE: Richard Dawkins suffers stroke.
Scoobysnack, I hoped things would be different with you, because you seemed so open minded when you first joined, but your posts lately have just been stupid as fuck, devoid of reason, and utterly reprehensible.

You're on an atheist forum, yet you don't allow for the possibility of legitimate unbelief in your God. Instead, you just label us Satanists, plug your ears, and go on with your propaganda. I get that it's hard to acknowledge that your pseudo reality is not only unapparent, but not even coherent to others. Still, you have the option to at least approach the discussion with honesty instead of some obvious lame ass attempt to frame it in such a way that misrepresents pretty much everyone you're trying to engage. What even is the point of trying if you're not going to be honest? Are you here to prove something to us or to yourself?

The thing is it's too easy to be an atheist. In the end it's whatever you want to believe since there is no unity. Even I could claim to be an atheist. It doesn't require researching much. Even I have listened to Dawkins, but I've also researched so much more. The more I realize, atheism is an empty vessel. It's void of purpose, and in the end, a useful tool to those who are against God, and the ultimate reality. It's a way to replace God, by putting yourself in it's place. Almost trans humanism without the technology.

RE: Richard Dawkins suffers stroke.
Atheist government's like Sweden still have rules they have to follow, as Mr. Hanky said "I don't like your tone, and I don't have to answer your questions. You've been here much too long not to have learned the difference between atheism and the sort of runaway idealism which leads to violent dictators. Kim Jong Ill isn't an atheist, he is a self-declared god, and he knows it." Kim Jong Ill is a complete dictator in the classic text book fashion. There are only a few countries who enforce State Atheism. Others just buffer out the religious crap from there governments and public schools. America is one of the biggest melting pot for religious fights on who's rights are being infringed upon. Other countries like Sweden or Denmark have solved this problem why can't we? If we stopped granting religious institutions special rights. Taxes being a big factor here, if I wanted to open a building for Atheists in the city were I live to meet every Friday to talk about our lack of believe and collect money I would denied a tax exemption. Why does a church get away with doing the exact same thing? They do the exact same thing my Atheist gathering would do. I'm not sure which countries do not provide tax exemptions laws in place for religious groups, there has a be a hand full who do not provide those kind of protections.

Feel free to practice your own believes preach, rally, hold weekly meetings, and further destroy science. Just keep it out of the government and the schools, and pay for it out of your own damn pocket! Save the tax exemptions for groups that really need it. I'm sure all that money that could of been collected would of opened up a lot of homeless shelters, had more affordable housing plots. oh and wait I'm sure that the schools could of been greatly improved as well. But, wait Father Peterson has a right to preach in a donated building and does not have to pay taxes on the land. Can anyone else think of a another group that uses this to cheat out of paying taxes? I'll give you a hint, Tom Cruise. I agree with you on Russian Orthodox church, they have way to much control. It's the 21st century and a major world power still does not allow gay marriage. That's 19th century thinking.

You're right.  It's easy to be an atheist.  You just have to be born and live your life embracing reality as it unfolds.  Unlike religion, you don't have to make any painstaking effort to determine which ancient book is divinely inspired, then to actually try to decipher what that ancient book actually says, since there is no consensus among your fellow believers.  How would you actually arrive at which book is the true one anyway?  Would you pray to each religion's messianic figure and wait to see which one responds?  Oh wait, no... you just go with the one most prominent in the culture you were born into, and/or the one your parents teach you is true.

Y'know, come to think of it... being a believer is pretty fucking easy.  In fact, it seems easier to be a believer than to buck the system and admit that there's really no good reason to believe any of those things.   You don't really have to research anything to believe.  I mean c'mon, do you really think that most of the believers in America arrived at their faith through research?  Let's not be silly.  On the other hand, atheists need not study to reach the conclusion of unbelief.  They just need to ask themselves, "What good reason do I have to believe in any of this?"

That's where you come in.  What makes you sure that you're right?

Notice, I didn't ask you to share why it's better to believe.  Your list of correlations between atheism and human misery do not impress me.  I'm only interested in what's true, so let's hear your reasons for being so confident that your God actually exists and your specific dogma is true.

Atheism is far from a empty vessel, it's a freedom like no other. Think of it this way scooby, would you rather trust a concept that gives you little control of your own life, or would you rather take control of your own life and live the way you want to and be free of the old superstitions and ancient hostilities that has causes the deaths of millions over the centuries.

Matrix is a great movie. The thing is the world reality I see around and the majority of people that surround me represents the blue pill. I see the ultimate truth as the red pill, and it's the spiritual world around us. I blame myself for not explaining the spiritual world better due to lack of understanding, still something I'm learning about. Most people I know just go to work, pay their bills, believe in a two party system, watches football, have fun and experiences relationships and little more, but at the same time that's a lot. The red pill forces you to get outside the controlled paridigm. Even religion doesn't offer the red pill in my opinion. It's so much more, since you have to research both light and dark. Researching the spiritual world in the light opened my eyes, and then researching the darkness solidified that the light exists, since the darkness did as well. Then here on earth I'm not really exposed to it in my day to day life, but it's there beyond my five senses. I'd like to think I'm living for the spiritual world and the future, instead of for the world and the now. That sounds crazy to someone with a material view of the alpha and omega, but the alpha starts here, and the omega doesn't get revealed until we leave.

The last time I checked, Sweden was a very nice place to live, and it is also more of a secular culture than Russia ever was. It has socialized medicine, and so is its education system through college. Denmark, even better these days, no thanks to your god, nor your evil and ignorant socio-economic ideologies. Now the Russian government is a puppet of the Russian Orthodox church, and it's still a miserable shithole for most people who live there.

That's exactly what I'm getting at. When atheist governments declare religion to be banned or at least try to, they want to replace belief in God with worship or belief in the state, because the state becomes god or at least the highest authority. That's why I wanted you to watch the obsolete man.

Seems to be a common theme that when a country goes more towards atheism, they symbolically cannibalize themselves, but when they start allowing more religious freedoms they become more free overall. The time has come to start exposing the absolute savagery that absolute atheism has become. It's responsible for so many deaths in the modern world, usually their own people.

It's almost like you've never read history or even scripture. For the life of me I can't think of any other reason why you would conclude that belief in a god equates to less tyranny and oppression.

I do a lot of research, into history, but not as much as the bible for the last few years. Just a personal question, when was the last time you talked to God? Forget that you don't believe in God, but was there a time you did, and if so, when did you ask for help?
